| Remember you are only allowed an opinion on this site if....
[listYou attend every match home and away
You agree with everything the club says and does
[/list:u
I know many people who no longer post here due to the on field issues and the sheer blinkeredness of other peoples posts and others (yes you S-O) who are on a self imposed ban until the club wins a match at this rate it could be January.....

| Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and post accordingly, but just because my opinion is different to others doesn't give me the right to have a go at anyone. Debate is fine, and we can agree to disagree, but throwing insults whilst hiding behind a keyboard is not right.
I only attend home games , though I am going Friday obviously ,and to Blackpool, don't recall anyone having a go at me Steve, unless of course I missed it.

| I wasn't having a go at you at all DHKR you are on the whole very balanced with you opinion and do let people have their say and can offer a counter argument......others how ever have chosen to quit the forum as not every post is "sunshine and happiness" or people make posts which disagree with their own.
To be honest I think the heydays of the his forum are gone as there are only now a few regular users, I think apathy has set in among many Dons fans now as we have all been there and seen this all before and are just waiting for the car crash to happen in slow motion.

| We have certainly lost a few on here from when I first came on which is a shame because we all basically want the same thing, to see successful Dons side.

| I agree with both of you, I think PC is the master of Copy + Paste
For sure HKR I take no pleasure in moaning about the club (contrary to popular belief) and I do want to see them do well, some spotted the writing on the wall earlier that others and some have yet to move into the light

| I certainly didn't expect us to be in this position and was confident that we would stay up, even after such a bad start. Still think we can, if we can string some results together, bit with each passing game it's looking more difficult. As regards to what's been said about the club, I can only go on what I've seen in the short time I've been following them, that without Carl Hall, there would be no club, and he sold the club to Club Doncaster because of financial difficulties. If that's wrong I would be happy for someone to put me right.

| As far as I know that factually accurate, I was more referring to the Boom/Bust cycle the club goes through every time we have any success will quickly follow it up with a dark time for the club and its supporters.
For me and as far back as I go
1986 - John Sheridan Era - Did really well after the dark times of Another Bloody Sunday competed will in the league signed some real quality - Tony Kemp, Kev Jones, Ian Birkby, Neil Turner followed this up with several seasons in the wilderness after not building on the foundations laid by JS.
Tony Fisher Era - Gained promotion to the top flight for the first any only time, club hit by drugs scandal and financial issues, ground sold club dissolved and reformed at a new home of Stainforth.
The St John Ellis Era - invested heavily int Singe's All Stars did ok, failed to keep pace with other teams and started to fall down the leagues, IMHO Singe outstayed his tenure as coach before he tragically died.
Best not to mention the Laker's year!
The Hanley era, again invested heavily and a solid side gained our first every promotion and reached two finals in a single season, the moment we won promotion the chairman and coach quit, leaving us adrift.
Its a well established pattern for us long suffering Dons fans...

| I've followed the results Steve for many years, all the time I've lived here (40 odd years), but I must confess, only the results, wasn't too aware of what went on behind the scene. I've followed Hull KR all my life, so that's where my thoughts were. But since the beginning of the championship winning season I have gone to the Dons, haven't seen KR, apart from sky, since then, so this season is really the only rough patch I've seen. Will always look for KRs results, that won't change, but I consider myself a Don now, looks like I'm in for a rollercoaster ride.

| Hello Folks...After 54 yrs of watching the Dons I have finally been drawn into this "War of the words".
Over the last few weeks I have been left scratching my head (have tried changing shampoo but to no avail)With Wilko out injured,I cannot understand why P.C.decided to hang up his boots and then send Kitterick to London...leaving us with one halfback who is still playing himself in after a year out through injury.
the Halifax game last sunday..I am a great Hodson fan and note that he has just had a season playing fly HALF in union and must therefor have some kind of passing and kicking game.I fully expected him to fill in at stand off,but I think Scotty was press ganged into it to accomodate a DR player.
Leave scotty at full back leave Docherty on the wing..give Leafy the 13 shirt Hodson 6 and Emmet/Kes at 9....We didn't need anybody from Hull
Homework for tonight is to dream of the pace of Hodson and Wilko at half back.

Welcome to the forum, good first post, I expected Cooke to hang up his boots at the end of the season, would have liked to have seen him stay on whilst we have injuries there, but only he knows how he feels during / after games, and I think we have to respect that.

| We really should not be in this sort of position where our fastest and most potent winger and our speedy full back who has great hands are having to be lined up in the halves, this all boils down to our very poor recruitment in the close season

I can't say for certain, but I think hes been struggling massively with his knee this season.

Health has to come first, there is no doubt about that.
