Well after 30 years of watching the Dons that's me finished, bought a double header ticket and went to go to the upstairs bar for a couple of pints after the dons match to be told I wasn't allowed in as I don't have a season ticket, I explained that I worked shifts so didn't have one but told no, so on a freezing cold day with rain and wind swirling around the ground youve got to stay frozen for the next couple of hours if buying a double header so theyved lost out on my ticket money the programme and a couple of half time draw tickets

sorry you feel that way but it was made clear before the season started that only season ticket holders could use the restaurant this season due to the Eagles using the ground this year. The bars in the concourse are open as a result of this so fans can get refreshments. i have been a supporter for 20 years and will continue to do so through thick and thin. I myself am fustrated about the restaurant but its only for this year when double header games are on.

So why were fans allowed in through the second door at the restaurant without any checks being made including one group who said can we come in out of the cold because we're southern softies and not one season ticket checked

Spoke to someone near the club, he said it's to do with safety and capacity of the restaurant and so has to be restricted.
He also said that it was suggested Sheffield have the West side bar and facilities and we have the East .. but no go.
It's not good ... folk are unhappy and if even only ONE fan is lost to this nonsense then that is not right.

if that is the case then you have every right to be upset but i would suggest contacting the club and tell them what happened and then see what they say. this link up with the eagles will cause problems for a few fans but Carl did say that if any fans have issues then get in touch with the club.

Why were you both playing on the same day/
Last season we had Leyth,Swinton,Utd Reserves and Blackburn Reserves playing.

It's the fault of whoever runs the stadium for Rovers, it's ill thought out and impractical. Should have been two stands open, one for Dons game , other for sheff, or play on different days. Extra costs for stewarding etc, met by Sheffield eagles, our games and fans should not have been interrupted in any way. How many won't come because its an earlier kick off?, we'll never know.

Like the OP I am a 30 year veteran supporter. I will stop watching the Dons at the season end. I am shocked and appalled by the utter disrepect that has been shown to Dons supporters this season.

I would have stopped going now but I bought a season ticket (sold under false pretences might I add), and I am not going to let my money go into Doncaster Rovers coffers.

It's only for one season for gods sake what's all the fuss over , dons ARE getting extra revenue fans have to be adaptable for this season . I for one would watch the dons on town fields at midnight , so come on get behind the club , the word supporter means just that so support em and stop moaning , rant over
