| The signing of 2 Hull FC players on "permanent" deals plus your 5 dual reg places means you will have 7 HFC players. It does sound like Wires deal with Swinton last year where Wire suddenly released 5 players, who all in an amazing stroke of coincidence signed for Swinton which still allowed another 5 to appear under the DR banner. Incidentally most are now back at Wire including Gary Chambers the coach.
Hope you all enjoy watching Hull FC next season

| Not a big fan of Dual Reg but the players we had from Wakefield last season were fringe players not established first teamers so nothing like the Swinton situation.
Until we know who we are getting on Dual Reg from Hull how can anyone comment about the 2014 season.

| And unlike Swinton we won't be dependent on the dual reg players to get a team on the pitch.
Ironic that the post came from Warrington and was called abuse of dual reg system.

| Cant see how signing the two is abuse of the system , they have signed on permanent deals and are unlikely to ever play for Hull again, same as Ward, Wilkinson etc. Paul Cooke is from Hull and knows the Hull and Rovers players he is just using his contacts and knowledge to sign players for his team.
I doubt their will be many times that Donny have 4/5 DR players in their 17.

| We've always had more than our share of Hull based players in our squad, it makes sense as (Hull KR aside) we're pretty much the next team down the road

| And they won't be senior SUPER LEAGUE players either.
The clue to the signing of the 2 players is in the word PERMANENT!
got nothing to do with dual reg.
LOOK IN THE DICTIONARY, demonuk.

| Doncaster and district has never been a hotbed of Rugby League so we have always had players from other areas. When they put the shirt on they're ours and we'll support em wherever they come from (even Warrington).

I think what Demon is alluding to is that Swinton selected ten D/R's in their first Championship game last season. When the press picked up on this , five/six of the ten suddenly changed status to PERMANENT signings. Still within the letter of the law, but it became farcical when:-
a) The likes of Morley, Briers, Wood, Bridge, Harrison etc. turned out for Swinton, and
b) Warrington then started loaning out Swinton's PERMANENT signings to London Broncos!
Agreed though that these two signings by Donny don't seem to fall into that category.
And, I'm sure that Demon isn't a Warrington fan - have you guys not got supporters who live outside Doncaster?

| Last season the whole Widnes first team squad were registered for DR with Workington but our coach only used players when we needed one and some weeks turned down the offer of players. Maybe that's why we aren't DR'd with them this season but rumour has it that we will be partnered with Wigan who are playing Town this weeked at Workington in the Paul Prescott Testimonial match.
The number of DR players allowed in one match has also been reduced from 5 to 3 so it doesn't matter a fig how many players are registered as only 3 can play at any one time.
