Adam, the punishment is the same because Super League clubs only get two points for a win whilst Championship clubs get three points. A 12 point deduction for a Super League club is the same as an 18 point deduction for Championship teams. It equates to 6 wins.

Why would the punishment for insolvency have any bearing on our attendances? I doubt its the main thing people think about before deciding on whether or not to come and watch a match.

Yes, but it is an understandable mistake simply because you thought that all rugby clubs are governed by the same rules.

I agree. Personally as I understood it the Championships were the proverbial guinea pigs when the system first came into place. Its ran for years now, surely time enough to see its benefits or otherwise and either drop or implement completely. IMO the system used in the Championships should be used across the board due to its tendency to prevent blow out scores and thus compete the competitiveness of games - something Super League needs if we are to ever match the NRL.

Hi peeps, what l was refering to by lack of attendances, is simple if we are not playing at home in NR cup match then nobody will be there watching us play ! therfore lack of income lack on potential new fans lack of interest in rugby league in Donny. What about punishing the people from the RFL who granted licences to the super league teams that went in to administration?
