I think this is very accomodating of the club to fall in line with the amateurs usual match day. It's a shame SL clubs who play on Friday nights don't take a leaf out of our book when drawn at home to CC clubs, what with players getting time off work etc.

Personally I'd tell them to balls, particularly when we were drawn at home...but I don't know all the sublaws etc so we may not have a choice

I would prefer it Sunday, as i enjoy watching the local teams on a Saturday.

I agree mate. This stage of the competition there always seem to be a lot of saturday games. I cant be there on saturdays either unfortunately.

Doncaster weren't obliged to play on a Saturday but did so at the request of Thatto Heath Crusaders and it is much appreciated. We've got a free date for our second team so most of those lads will be coming with us. Playing on a Saturday will also give us the opportunity to bring a fair contingent from the junior section who play their games on a Sunday. Should create a decent atmosphere. We managed to do so at Sheffield last year at the DVS. Fingers crossed we'll manage to nick a result too.

What is the admission cost likely to be on the day? Any advice on where the speccies can get a drink before the game?

Concession - £8 early bird/£10 match day

Admission on the day is generally £12 Adults, £10 Concessions (not aware of any change for this fixture). Early bird prices also apply (£2 discount) for tickets purchased in advance.

The are plenty of pubs / bars in the town centre (approx 1 mile from the ground) but if you want to arrive at the stadium and have a drink nearby, the nearest is the Beefeater on Wilmington Drive (DN4 5PJ) a mere 200 yards away. If you arrive via the M18 you will spot it en-route to the stadium. If you come in through town, it is located beyond the stadium just off the roundabout at the end of Stadium Way.
