Now why didn't I think of that.
Seriously, there are Pubs nearby which offer much better value / quality.

It is expensive for tap cleaning fluid, cos it don't taste much like beer not in the ground anyway. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

It is when there are 3 Wetherspoons in the town centre all selling quality real ales at around £1.69 per pint and it's nearly double in the ground for something that is a very poor excuse for beer.

| Does Weatherspoons have a stadium to watch rugby?
With dwindling attendance at the stadium how long before it will no longer be viable to operate for The Dons.
From a commercial point it must be all part of the equasion sales of food, drinks, car parking income so not sure we should be putting visitors off using these facilities.Loss of income on these must surely lead to an increase in the cost of operation by the stadium company who will look to increase revenue in other ways.
It was £1.50 for a tea bag some hot water ang a splash of UHT milk at Rochdale but they didn't suggest we stop off at McDonalds where it would be bigger and better for about a £1.
Keepmoat is a first class stadium to watch The Dons and the provision of food and drink undercover inside the stadium is a bonus.

Club representatives continue to state that they receive no revenue from the things you list above and are indeed looking to strike deals with local pubs such as the Cheswold for before and / or after matches.
The Dons biggest problem is not that people might choose to eat or drink elsewhere it is that the town of Doncaster appears not to want a professional / semi-professional rugby league club. An attendance of 285 for the last home game (where the visitors brought 50 of those) paints a very bleak picture indeed.
The Keepmoat is a first class stadium agreed but lets be realistic the place is soulless when the Dons are only being watched by the sort of crowds now attending.
On a personal note, I and others it would appear from the comments earlier in the thread, would not recommend the drink at the Keepmoat Stadium. That is simply an honest opinion - If I had asked the same question on another Clubs messageboard, I too would hope for an honest answer.
As a customer, if I am not happy with the product then I will not endorse it. If however the product improves I would be more than happy to do so. I believe that it has been noted that people are not happy with the current situation reference drinks at the Stadium (and haven't been for some time) and there may be some changes ahead.

| There is a question of balance here as with most topics. If fans like Scorer are content to drink the beer provided at the Keepmoat then that is Scorers choice. The type of beer/lager provided at the Keepmoat is not my choice and never will be, the cost is prohibitive given what IMO is an inferior ale. Most stadiums catering fails to provide quality produce and like most entertainment venues in this country the income gained is all that matters.

How does the above sit with the following---
Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council provided £30 million of the £32 million towards the original cost of the Stadium.(some of which was raised via land sales),
The stadium is managed by a ‘not for profit’ stadium management company (a LLP). The facility is leased to the stadium management company – via a long-term / rent free – by the Council.
It is designed to provide a high-quality sporting environment =#FF0000with a community focus.

I have no idea how it sits with what you have posted. My comment is based on most sporting and entertainment venues that I have been to. Shockingly high priced food and drink that in most cases the standard of which is not very high. I suppose DF given that quote they should give it away ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

Maybe not go as far as giving it away---but for someone (Scorer) to suggest that the provision of food and drink should be thought of as a =#FF0000bonus don't sit well with me.

63 members representing 21 Wards--------does appear a little over the top. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)
Maybe 2 per ward would suffice next time voting comes around in exchange for a £2.50 pint at the Keepmoat.
