Balby Rd Recreation Club are holding a Race Night for the Dons on Friday 27th February 2009 , first race to be run at 8.30pm.

Just to let fans know that we will show "another bloody sunday" and also there will be a buffet on as well
hope we can get a few fans down to raise as much money as we can!

hope that we get a few people there friday to raise so much need funds for the Dons we have all the races sponsored will be selling Horse £1 and Jockeys at £2 winners get £5 and £10

I couldnt make it either was working till 10

raised £320 on the night only about 10 Dons fans there about 25 in total if £320 was raised with thoughs numbers how much more would have been raised. Thanks to Dave Marshall and Scott Jones who were there from the club

There's also a good percentage of dons fans that also like to see Rovers home games, and they were home last night.

Well done to all concerned for raising that cash though. Any more events planned for the Balby Recreation club? or any other place

I think Friday night can be difficult for these type of events as people often have other plans whereas they are able to be a little more flexible in midweek.
