This is a FANS forum for goodness sake, as I have said many times when someone doesn't like what's being said and has a go.
It doesn't belong to the Don's management ... they have their own site. And short of breaking the laws on defamation and libel, we can say just how we feel with due regard to common decency and a weather eye on respect and courtesy and the AUP.

To look at the world through rose-coloured spectacles might be fine in theory and I suppose if someone wants to go through life in an 'ignorance is bliss' state of mind then that's their choice.
Most of the rest of us realise that life is not like that. Sh/te happens and it's how you deal with it that matters. Pretending it didn't happen is just burying your head in the soil.

The very fact that we don't all have the same point of view is what gives life some extra spice, some extra interest. And that's what is so good about this forum, it is a window where we can voice our opinion in a relatively safe environment and have a bit of fun without the fear of someone kicking-off and resorting to physical violence.
It's a temporal medium.

Finally, as I always say, to imagine that in some way the people who post on here have any bearing on the general support for the Dons numerically or financially is quite wrong and the thinking of some paranoid mind.
To then go and bring it to the attention of the media about a handful of fans who voice discontent with shabby performances and to somehow extrapolate that into a team of wreckers hell-bent on personal damage to players sensibilities is farcical.
We ARE the supporters for Christ sake.
Or at least a cross-section of them with some computer skills and an urge to communicate.

So my recommendation would be to read and take notice and debate the bits that are unpalatable and don't spit out your dummy Mr Hall.

I am now leaving for the [uregular three and a half hour trip[/u to Toulouse to see my nearest team,relegated from the Championship to the LER probably to see them get hammered yet again for their penultimate home game to undoubtedly prop up the division - it doesn't give me pleasure to see them in this position but as a RL nut I know they will at least give 101% for the likes of me & the missus - if the chairman or whoever wants to criticise me for criticising their display then fair enough,who cares ?

Well done to Carl,Tony,Ray & Jackie as well as the players of course for the incredible improvement in the past twelve months

I hope Carl has got the message , its def. a no no running to the press to air his thoughts on some of our fans.Even though I'm sure others agree some of the posts have been over critical of the coaching, management staff & players .

Yeah I can see that, since we had won 7 out of 8 and the fans were really getting on the players backs.

I may be new to this great sport but the comments said was uncalled for I pay hard earned cash to watch are mighty team who we all want to do well. I travelled to Keighley and was disappointed in the lack of get up and go from are players.

All too often recent owners (Wright & Harrison) of the Dons have only come to the fans when they want money or help, but when it got offered never acted upon it.
Perhaps Mr Hall would rather we just worshipped him for rescuing the Dons.

Whilst realising that the likes of Carl Hall and others have kept the Dons entity going through some extremely lean times I have to point out that directors or any management at a sports club come and go quite regularly. For the fans it's a lifetime commitment. If Mr Hall thinks all of the people who spent good money on the day to see an abject performance from the Dons will simply roll over then he's incredibly naive. Of course a percentage of fans will be upset and will voice their opinions. It's called human nature. Besides, he's a Kiwi and obviously doesn't realise that moaning comes as standard for Yorkshireman.

What Carl as a kiwi ought to do is get some kiwis in our side.
It seems a bit odd that a kiwi wouldn't do that when kiwis are so good.

having been a regular supporter of the dons for 55 years i think i am entitled to express my opinion of the dons,thats a lot more than you mr Hall (with respect)

I've thought long and hard about this before finally dipping my toe in but here goes.

The vast majority of Dons supporters who attended the Keighley game were unhappy with the performance they witnessed and some (myself included) chose to express feelings on this messageboard thereafter - [size=110that is our right [/sizeand to be fair it's what these sort of boards are for, comment and discussion. The posts were reflective of the 'general' feelings that day - I note there was little if any applause for the players that day (regrettable in hindsight).

Carl Hall has clearly taken exception to some / all of those comments - [size=110that is his right.[/size Where I cannot agree with Carl is in taking those thoughts to the press. I honestly believe that will only do harm in what at times is already a difficult relationship with some supporters.

Perhaps there are lessons to be learned on both sides. Whilst we the supporters are entitled to our opinions perhaps some of the bluntness could be eradicated. Equally, I feel that Carl needs to accept the fans disappointment at a loss in the same way our positive comments after a 30-0 victory (against Oldham) will no doubt have been much appreciated. Because we are passionate about our team, results can polarise our reactions.

I would add that I feel that sadly there is still a disconnect currently between the Club and it's Supporters and more feedback / information from Club Officials on a regular basis would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Bottom line ... let's try to put personalities aside, we won't always all agree about everything (or even get on all of the time) but we all want the same thing, a successful Doncaster RLFC, so time to draw a line under this and look to push on for play-off success.

Carl states categorically that his comments in the press do not relate to the post-match comments on here ... [size=110they relate to comments heard by the players and staff as they sat in the changing room immediately after the defeat at Keighley.[/size

I thank Carl for clearing that up ... although I still wish it hadn't made the press.

Here is hoping that Carl will keep feeding some information our way and that one of us can put this information onto the fans forum....The ball has already started rolling with Carl providing us with info over the last few days.
