Well I stopped, talk about Jekyll and Hyde.
That side was totally not up to speed to take on Halifax.
They showed what they could do in the second half and in a way took the p/ss out of themselves in the process.

Well, first half I think we contributed to 5 out of their 6 tries giving away stupid penalties & knocking on.
Halifax are a good side but we didnot respect the ball.

We played better in the 2nd haf & took charge when Fax were down to 12 men.

I'm sorry but something has got to change; we can't keep making excuses; we played well, , unfortunate, good effort, strong performance etc etc etc.

We are second bottom of the league and no signs that we will not drop further! There has to be changes soon or forget staying in this league.

time to admit that some players just aren't good enough in this league.
powley brings nothing to the team. can't pass and rarely tackles.

felt sorry for the young winger today. that mistake must really have really played on his mind but he picked himself up and played well..
usual players had good games..always same players emmett kesik spurr. also think kyle trout was good.

I think Powley would benefit some time in an U20 side. Kesik & Emmett as hookers .

First half was total and utter e and I like Stand offish was thinking about leaving at half time, but i decided to stay and see what the second half would bring. Second half was a massive improvement and imo the lads did them selves and us as fans proud. Some other teams would have collapsed in the second half and lose by a big margin but the lads took the game to Halifax and were unlucky not to have come away with a bonus point. Thought Cooke took control of the game in the second half and produced two marvellous try assists, Adam Scott was sensational when he came on and Leafy (MR DONS) gave his all. Cnt afford to give Fev the same head start. Waterman back to Centre and Butts at full back for me. COYD DONNYTILIDIE

So Cooke is the new GH? He is not the problem he tries to get things moving but no good if the players around him take the wrong options. We won the second half 16. Nil and few sides will come close to that. What he needs is a clever no7 to work alongside and we don't have one and Goulding was not the answer either. We need to stop giving away silly penalties a number of which resulted in tries and it was the same at seagulls. Agree with the comments re Powley and assume Edwards omission was due to injury and after a great performance by Butts on Friday he surely earned a place today. Cooke is not the problem but TM needs to give the half time team talk before the first half!

I think we need some continuity in team selection(barring injuries) now that Easter is out of the way !

what can one say the game spoke for itself but we MUST HAVE WATERMAN AT CENTRE to give us our scoring options and we MUST HAVE BUTTS IN AT FULLBACK come on TM you know it makes sense or dont he like being told the obvious, players confidence must be slipping its nothing a win wont put right its not where we are now in the league but at the end of the season we wont be relegated ....

The South Wales game would be an ideal chance to try the Waterman Butts swap.
I think South Wales will suffer the backlash of all these frustrating near miss defeats.
I also think that we will push Fev very close.

This league is going to be tight with lots of teams capable of beating each other on any given day.

I've every confidence in Tony Miller and the coaching team to get the best out of the lads. He knows them better than we do. He knows who has knocks, who needs resting, etc, etc.

The big issue for fans at the moment seems to be the Butts v Lee Waterman at full back debate? It'd be nice if we got some feedback from Tony with regards to his thoughts on this one.

I must say that I'm delighted to see Adam Scott back with us. I've always been a fan of his and was very disappointed when he left us last time.

My own concern is that I'm not sure Craig Fawcett is good enough for this league and our creativity is suffering because of it. He tries really hard and I can't knock him in that department. He just doesn't seem to have the keys to unlock defenses at this level.

My second concern is that our lack of discipline is giving too many cheap yards to the opponents. We need to improve in this department.

I'm hopeful of a confidence boosting win in the Challenge cup and a good 80 minute display against Featherstone.

I noticed that Brett Waller limped off late in this game.
Can't afford to lose him.

If there is any doubt about his fitness leave him out Sat, he may also face a trip to Leeds next week to see the headmaster.

All our home games have been against top opposition.
we have only played workington from the bottom half at home and beat them easily.
we will come good in second half of the season when we should start winning the home games against lower teams
i notice now hunslet dont have all the leeds players playing who played against us, they cant win a game.
Iam confident we will stop up but we need to play 80 mins like mondays 2nd half against halifax.

I Was thinking the same.
Apart from Fev, Eagles and possibly Leigh every other home game is easily winnable.
We finish off with home games against Barrow and Whitehaven, they will be very important games.
A quality scrum half addition or Fawcett being settled and coming out of his shell would see us in the play- offs even at this dire point.
Will it happen?

would be nice to think so, and i think we will certainly do enough to stay up, but the playoffs could just be out of reach.
