Cowling playing for Wakey on Sunday , Walshaw injured !

then unless my maths is out that means two more players we haven't heard of (presumably Wakey dual reg?) assuming Cookie isn't included in the 22 due to injury as well as those already mentioned.

Cannot understand why ? when we have a player on loan from Cas for the season & a player from Wakey for the season on Dual Reg they are not available for us.

I am assuming the report in RLExpress re Clare is correct & that by picking Cowling for Wakefield on Sunday he willnot be available for us on Friday !

That's the unfortunate thing with the dual reg system , players are available to us if not required by the parent club. Can't blame them really if they want to assess them in their own games.

will anyone be keeping us up to date on here or will it be available to track via sky sports as during regular season?

Just a bit of team news for tonight. All players will be given a run out apart from Paul Cooke, Shaun Leaf and dual reg James Clare.

Clare is unavailable as he's playing for Castleford on Sunday v Hull FC. The kick-off is at 7.45pm.

The Dons started the New Year off in winning fashion thanks to a convincing 44-16 victory over a Featherstone Rovers U20's side at a foggy Post Office Road.

Stewart Sanderson got the Dons off to a good start scoring in the fourth minute and further tries from new signing Dennis Tuffour, Mike Emmett and Mike Kelly gave the blue and gold's a 22-6 half-time lead. Sanderson kicked the extras with three out of four successes.

The Dons went on to score another 22 points in the second forty with further tries from Sanderson and Tuffour. Chris Spurr and Craig Fawcett also crossed the whitewash and Sanderson landed another three conversions to make it six out of eight successes to bag a personal 20 points haul.

The club will face stiffer competition for their next friendly, which takes place on Sunday 20th January against fellow Championship club Keighley (3pm kick-off). Tickets are on sale now and are priced £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and just £2 for children (5-16).

The Dons will then entertain Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats the week after at the Keepmoat Stadium (27th, 3pm kick-off). Tickets are also on sale and are £12 for adults, £6 for concessions and £2 for children (5-16).

The handling was really good in poor conditions and so was most of our tackling.
It was bloody cold.

We used 19 players, the only ones not to appear were Cooke, Clare and Leaf, as the D/R players haven't been confirmed yet.

Weren't Danny Cowling and Lucas Walshaw confirmed in December?
(admittedly LW recently picked up an injury playing for Wakey).

They were, but it was already announced that Cowling was with Wakefield for todays game v Fev.
