This match has now been re-arranged for Wednesday 7th September with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Same for both sides , we may even have a few more players back.

What difference does it make where the clubs finish within the 2nd (or losing finalist),3rd,4th & 5th places ?
Is it 2 (or losing finalist) v 5 and 3 v 4 ?

That is correct losers of 1v2 play 5th at home & 3rd play 4th.

How are they going to cope with having to play three games in seven days?

The game has now been swapped to Thursday 8th September. We've got a bit more of a rest after the Rochdale away game, and less of a rest before the Skolars at home.

According to the official site we play em Wed & Thurs, tough schedule that !

We're giving ourselves two chances! The BBC site is showing the Wednesday game as postponed, with it now being down as Thursday. That's where I got the info from. I think it makes sense to have an extra day's rest after the Rochdale game.

Less of a break before the London game. Probably to do more with the availability of the Bootham Crescent pitch .

Funnily enough, I though that too but York City haven't got a midweek home game that week. York are away at Skolars the previous weekend and at home to Keighley the following weekend.

There is a blank weekend at August bank holiday because its the challenge cup final on Saturday the 27th
York City FC have a home game on Saturday 27th an away game on Monday the 29th & a home game on Saturday 3rd.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to all parties to play the fixture on either Monday 29th or Tuesday 30th?

Agree , but may be the players wanted time off bank holiday weekend. Who knows we play midweek end of .
