| Bit of a tour today from lunchtime to early evening;
Visited the Beehive at Harthill at lunchtime - pint of TT's Landlord.
Later, one of my favourite pubs in Sheffield, the Kelham Island Tavern where it was a new one on me Wentworth Nutty Stack a deep ruby malt ale with caramel and toffee flavours 4.4%.
Next, a bite to eat at the Rawson Spring in Hillsborough accompanied by a glass of Wentworth Small Copper a light brown / copper beer with roasted malt flavours 4.1%.
Finally, back nearer home a pint of Jennings Honey Bole at the Sun Inn. Wasn't confident of enjoying this one but it surprised me. Described as straw-coloured, it was a nice crisp refreshing drink with a hint of honey which developed as you progressed through the pint 4.5%.

Think you mean Nutty Slack, Gary and I agree.
Smells like creosote but tastes delicious.
You'll not find that in any tasting notes

Oops! Am I bad? Too much of this good stuff is addling the grey matter Like the sound of it! I'm thinking of one called Coil Oil I had at the KIT. My apologies. Another one worth your attention though
Paid a visit to Haworth on Saturday and had a pint of Taylor's Landlord, which was excellent then another at the Woolly sheep in Skipton, followed by a couple of Goose Eye beers, Golden Goose and World Wide Webs, both worth a second pint, at the Devonshire, also in Skipton.
Found some very interesting bottled beers on Haworth High Street from local brewers who I'd hitherto not heard of. can't think of a better reason for paying a return visit.

| Had a pint of Whim Hartington Ale, definitely worth a second tasting and Durham's White Ale, which was excellent, both sampled at the Arkwright Arms, Sutton-cum-Duckmanton.

| Couple of Daleside brews sampled last night ...
Old Leg Over 4.1% in the Gatehouse and
Daleside Stout 4.2% in the Old Angel
then ventured to the Tonik festival mentioned earlier in the thread ...
Timothy Taylors Ram Tam 4.3%
Cairngorn Nessies Monster Mash 4.4%
Great Heck Dave (dark and very enjoyable - apparently) 3.9% and
a mystery beer which everyone is asked to donate 50p to charity for a guess at and the opportunity to win a gallon of beer. It tasted a little like York Brewery Centurion Ghost but probably wasn't.
also managed a pint of Courage Directors 4.8% in the Salutation.
