| Yeah well done!
Was watching the scores on flashscores ... it seemed to go on forever.
Can't trust these sites.
But we are set fair to be undefeated in the rest of the league games.

| Great result, well done to all concerned.
Safe journey home to all who made the trip.
Just listening to Bradford v Workington: sounds a bit tasty! Need Bradford to hold on for the win.

| Useless Bradford ... Workington have done the double over them.
York have gone top ... where they belong ... and if I was John Kear I would be crapping myself!
They are in serious danger of not going up!
And it is us or Worky who will stop them.
We would gave gone 3rd with a Bradford win ... but you know what? I prefer York top.

| Well done to the players and staff on the win at Haven a good result. We are fourth this evening. Workington have York at home next, then Newcastle away. Sets up a fascinating end of season.

I'll be on the case on Monday morning.
I arrived back from Whitehaven at 9pm. We conceded four penalties in the first nine minutes. We then got on a 'team warning' before Jack Sanderson got sin-binned.
Our forwards worked really hard today - all were making metres in the tackle.
Defensively we were good. Our attack didn't function at its best but we looked fitter and stronger than Whitehaven as the game progessed.
Everyone played well. Brad England deserved his try late on. He worked his socks off. Hakim Miloudi gave Whitehaven plenty to think about.
Travelling up on Saturday seems to have had a positive effect on the players.
As you can imagine, it was a 'happy bus' coming home!
I had to smile as Jessie Joe still had 'Parker' on his shirt. Jessie and Dion Aiye were up to their old tricks causing us problems but we got the upper hand today.
Well done to all the players for putting on such a gutsy performance today.

| My view on the game:
Chances were view and far between for both sides, we just took ours when they came up better than they did. A length of the field interception and a try after the first half hooter showing that we had that little bit of craft they didn't. Defensively we looked very tight, Kes tackled like a machine and Litten terrorised them after a slow start (Radio Cumbria apparently commented that between Kes and Litten it's like playing two different teams). Miloudi was easily MoM for me.
Read somewhere it's our first win there since 2003!

I very much agree with Jemmo.
I know Miloudi has come in for criticism from Lee Radford and he's potentially got himself into trouble in the past but the lad's commitment to the Dons can in no way be questioned. When the kick off got delayed yesterday, he used the time to further practice his kicking. He could easily have gone and put his feet up for 15 minutes.
During the game, he played with enthusiasm and his class showed through. As the players walked off the pitch at the end, they were all battered and bruised but you could see how much winning meant to them all. Hakim was like a kid at Christmas and had a big smile on his face.

I recall an IDT when CH commented to the effect that Radders was trying to 'structure' Hakim and I got the impression that CH thought they should just let him play. He does appear to have that bit more licence with us. I realise its not super duper League where the off the cuff stuff can result in mistakes which inevitably leads to the other side scoring but he is unique and I hope that they (Hull) refrain from putting a leash on him.

I think that if the Dons had wanted to put a leash on Hakim, it would have happened before now. My personal view is that the game can be too structured these days. Unstructured rugby is exciting. We don't want to see chess matches on grass.
The game needs characters like Hakim. To me, he's like the League One version of Ben Barba. My big concern is that if Hull decide not to keep him on, he could be lost to the Dons forever. Maybe we should just enjoy him whilst we can. I'm sure some other Super League team would give him a chance if he did leave Hull.

| Hull fans are not too happy that LR seems to put Miloudi on a leash. As someone has mentioned, he has that bit of x factor about him, but his commitment is fantastic, his enthusiasm is great to see and I hope he continues to have a future at Hull

Apologies DM I didn't mean the Dons putting him in cuffs I meant Hull (not for the first time I fail to make myself clear on here) Edited accordingly.

No probs, Alan. I didn't think you meant the Dons were putting him in cuffs. It was my reply that probably wasn't clear. Sorry for any confusion on my behalf. Now S/O is probably going to quip that I was just making an 'off the cuff' comment, so I thought I'd get that one in first!

| Whitehaven have since released the following statement regarding the 2019 season:
Due to the continuing drop in attendances and lack of sponsorship over the last few seasons the decision has been made to further reduce the playing budget for next season. The drop in the playing budget will allow the club to re-structure including investing in a new youth setup, building a local based squad, improve ties with the local clubs and further increase the clubs community work.
After discussing this at some length with coach Carl Forster a mutual decision has been reached that will unfortunately see Carl and assistant Tony Stewart leave the club at the end of the current season. This decision has not been taken lightly by either party and the Board of Directors cannot stress enough our gratitude for the work and dedication shown by Carl and Tony during their tenure, which has seen seen some difficult times and both can hold their heads high. Carl has handled himself with the upmost professionalism at all times and we all know the love he has for the club and its fans.
The club wish Carl and Tony all the best for their futures

| It's not nice to see teams struggle in the way Whitehaven appear to be struggling at the moment. You always have to feel for the loyal fans when things like this happen.
I wish them well and hope their plans help to give the club a more secure future.
