I used to enjoy his blunt straight forward views but it looks like he's turned into one of them ahhh i'll miss him........

I remember one very cold and miserable day bumping into Ray Green selling Dons raffle tickets outside the Corn Exchange.
Although cold he was selling some ....
The point being that face to face selling is better than anything that comes through the letter box.
So the Dons personnel ought to get out and about and sell the season tickets.
In the right places of course.

Not a hope in hell,recent experience of buying one has turned out to be a total waste of time and money.

Tickets don't sell themselves.
Said it before ... the club have to physically sell them.
Not on line, not via a telephone or ticket office.
But getting out there and pitching.

Was thinking that Rossington is now connected to Doncaster and the region near the stadium.
Whereas before it was a trek to go round by the Parrots Corner route.
There ought to be 20+ and more folk in Rosso alone would buy one because of that change.
Extra to normal.

Until we see what is dished up on the park ... there is no basis for pessimism.

The ticket sales are disappointing but the target is not unrealistic given a very much more proactive sales campaign and the following ... a good start to the season with intelligent entertaining rugby and an extension to the deal right up to the first league game.
The first thing I will be looking for when the Christmas deadline is reached is an immediate extension.
No ... not to my member ... but that would be a nice bonus.

I hope the community events give the challenge a much needed boost. The signing of a big overseas prop would also help.

This is how much confidence I have with challenge 1000 I have the other £30 ready and waiting!

There are two ways to look at this ...
The way I prefer is that the season ticket costs £60 tops!
At £60 the ticket is an absolute bargain and half the price of last season anyway.
Charging just £30 up front was the sensible and optimistic way for the club to proceed.
I never thought that my season ticket would cost just £30 ... and I certainly don't look upon the outstanding £30 as extra.
The way the deal was set up was that your season ticket would cost just £60 AND as a BONUS if targets were met it COULD be less.
Now if there was more of a positive attitude then we could all enjoy the BONUS.

To look at it from any other view point is NOT fair on the club.
IMHO of course.

Spot on SO it is a bargain, and as much as I want the Rovers to do well this season the Dons season ticket price equates to just over three home game prices to watch a football side currently low on confidence and not playing that well.

After watching a hell of a lot of games last season i'm not so sure £60 will be a bargain! I would of liked the challenge £60 idea where we pay £60 for a season ticket and if we see the amount of guff which was served up last season we get £30 back in march!

Just to make a comparison, Toulouse have just announced a price of 69€ for a minimum of 14 home games throughout the Championship season. After xmas this will rise to 79€ which is still pretty good value. This is for entry to the ground and watching the games around the perimiter. A seat in the stands will cost 120€.
