its now on the Dons website as postponed until the RFL and York get the issue resolved and upon conclusion
the game will be re-arranged..

I doubt the RFL would change the fixtures at this late stage. The other clubs will already have preparations in place for this weekend travel, etc.

I'd guess that the comp would be a seven team affair with all York's fixtures removed.

It's extremely sad to see York in such a mess. We often knock the Club Doncaster concept but at least it gives us a certain amount of stability.

I really feel sorry for the York fans and players. They don't deserve this.

Sad sad state of affairs, feel for the players and fans of York, can't help thinking the Rfl would have done a lot more for a club higher up, like buy the ground for instance.

Feel very sorry for the fans, volunteers & players at York.

It could have quite easily been us on various occasions over the years.

Not sure what RFL involvement there's been but it's hard to think that one of the 'bigger names' would have been allowed to whither away like this.

No wonder the game is on its uppers and haemorrhaging support.

Can't renember too many recently.
In the past there was Bramley, Mansfield Marksmen, Blackpool (in all their guises, eg Chorley).
Other clubs have morphed, like Fulham into other clubs .....
It is sad, but nothing is forever.

I think York is too big to let go.

Other teams we have lost.
Belle Vue Rangers,Carlisle,Scarborough Pirates,Southend/Kent Invicta.
Liverpool City in all its guises (Huyton, Runcorn Highfield,Sutton Highfield,Prescott Panthers)

It was about one man trying to blackmail the council. Thankfully he's out of the equation now!
