Well you got my name right.
Can you tell me what is wrong with saying whether you think your side will win or not?

Quality across the park ... unfortunately almost all from Hull.
If anyone can explain what we got from that, apart from a few bob, I am listening.

| Decent gate so Carl should be happy with the income, and as much as I admire Hakim's silky footwork and some charging runs from the Hill forwards, I fail to see what positives Richard can take from such one sided games. Surely the idea of pre season friendlies should be to prepare us for the season ahead, not to practice restarts the whole afternoon!

I said exactly the same, I would love for some explanation as to the benefit the Club or players have derived today.
As a supporter, I felt that I learned very little about the current squad watching them being humiliated by what wasn't far off a Hull second team.

Luckily we haven't many to get demoralised in our promotion chasing side.

| More questions than answers .
Why so many 1st team squad players not given a run out.
Thought the lad with the no 30 shirt on had a good game I think his name was Dixon .

| So what happened to defence Mr Horne!
Agree the no 30 was the only thing that came from the afternoon would like to see him kept on.
But otherwise a waste of a game.

Without wishing to be controversial, until the 2 or 3 significant signings promised at the last Fans Panel Meeting are revealed (and as a betting man, I'd say the 2 season long loans are effectively these), we only have 18 and 3 are reported as injured, Jordie was swerving a ban and I do wonder if Liam will ever actually be selected.

I can only assume the other squad players weren't available for some reason. Seems daft not to have given them a run out, even if only for 10 or 15 minutes.
I was hoping the number 30 would be Man of the Match as I wanted to know his name: Ryan Dixon. I don't think he would have looked out of place in the Hull side. We need to get him signed up asap!
We had players of the quality of Miloudi, Litten and Jack Logan to give us some spark last season. Today we looked flat and missed that level of quality.
I hope we get to know who the season long loans are before next weekend.

| Further to my earlier comment, I understand from Carl Hall that Liam Welham had an accident yesterday, hence him not being available today.
I'm sure that we all wish him a speedy recovery.

| Didn’t go to today’s game for exactly the reasons outlined above.
I gave up on ‘friendlies’ a good few years ago and haven’t regretted my decision yet.
Now if only we had a few new signings to get my pulse racing, it might be a different story...
Well done to all that turned up today. No-one has mentioned anything about any injuries being picked up so I’ll settle for that being a positive.

All of them please!
Miloudi and Litten showed their class. Who played number 10 for you today? He seemed like a young lad with some promise. I thought all your guys played well. It should give you plenty of hope that your squad has more depth and is better equipped to deal with any injury issues this season. Surely you can't be hit with the same bad luck as last season. I hope not.
Thanks to all the Hull fans who came over today. I wish we could build up a loyal fan base like yours.
If I had to choose five for the Dons from the Hull players who played today, they'd be: Liam Harris, Hakim Miloudi, Jez Litten, Jack Logan, and either the winger who broke a few tackles or Masi Matongo. But, I suspect, some of these lads will have their sights set on getting first team slots at Hull, not playing Championship One rugby with us.

My guess Cox will spend more time playing for Doncaster than Hull.
Rich Horne wants a forward and back on loan but not sure who the forward will be if he gets his way.
It looks like a game every two weeks for Hull reserves so plenty of the young and more experienced players will be in the D/R pool accross the season.

| Maybe the dons could build up a bigger fan base as we had in the 80s and 90s but when it’s the same old promise about new signings and 5 year plans every season which never materialised then maybe that’s why the fan base is as it is, what happened to all the decent Aussies and Kiwis we picked up back in the day ??

Masi Matongo will be in the 17 most weeks for us I would imagine. Certainly got bigger in pre season, just needs a bit more aggression

| Well next week, we can look forward to a tighter game, assuming Leeds don't put their first team out.
Yesterday showed how weak a side we can be with 4 trialists and no Hull players.
Well done to all 4 trialists, I hope we see more of you.
Next week presumably we will have some Hull players and we will go a lot better.
Brandon Douglas stood out and so did Ryan Dixon, and others did well too.
However our forwards were continually being put on their backsides by the Hull lads, which didn't look very promising for the season ahead.
But full marks to Hull ... they weren't just having a run out were they?

| Having watched the "highlights" thanks To Hull FC (Seems Club Doncaster couldn't be bothered to tell its supporters).
We seem to need to learn how to tackle and put someone in a full back who can cover, it was by no means a full strength Hull side and that was almost our best 17, these loan signings that have been rumored since early December need to be quality otherwise its a long hard season of middling disappointment. I wouldnt have in any way expected us to win yesterday but I would have expected a much closer game given the number of first team players Hull didnt put out
As a Doncaster supported I have to echo the sentiment of other as to the value we gained from the friendly, surely a heavy defeat to a side two divisions above second string will do nothing to prepare the lads for a wet Sunday in Oldham. Surely we'd have been better to take on someone we have a more realistic chance against (Sheffield, Hunslet et al).
I think I am allowed to comment as I have watched the Highlights, but I am sure someone will tell me Im not allowed an opinion (maybe another personal message from the Vice President of the RFL).

| Just thinking of who didn't play for Hull and came up with:
Shaul, Faraimo, Griffin, Connor, Tuimavave, Talanoa, Kelly, Sneyd, Taylor, Houghton, Bowden, Paea, Green, Minichiello, Manu, Westerman, Jordan Thompson, Matty Dawson Jones, Bienek and Cameron Scott.
Happy with our depth this year - which could see us challenge. I think you may see Logan, Harris, Litten, Bienek and Naulogo (the Fijian winger who scored the long range try) quite regularly this year

| This game was unusual for me.
I never said a dickybird all game.
Sure I clapped both our tries and I clapped one or two Hull ones because they deserved it ... and that was it.
I could have been anywhere ... watching two sides playing rugby and not feeling part of it.
WEIRD....
