Quote ="originaldragon"If the Rovers are now in effect the landlords, does this mean they set the rent?
So if they want the Dons out ([ias rugby causes such a mess to football pitches[/i), then what is to stop the Rovers from setting an extorsionately high rent, that we can't afford to force us out.
ADDITION:

And once again the Free Press shows a ridiculous bias towards the Rovers. No mention at all in this article of the Dons, or the Belles or any of the other tenants. The car boot gets a bigger billing than the Dons.
I know that the Dons will have been mentioned in discussions because Peter Davies is openly a Dons fan.'"
I am pretty certain that there is a quote somewhere from Andy Thompson (Head groundsman at the Stadium) that the football causes more so called damage to the playing surface than The Rugby does.
Not quite sure were you get the facts that the Rovers want the Dons out of the Keepmoat. It may be time for the Dons side of this deal to be put out (if not too sensitive) IMO Carl Hall does not want the Dons to leave the Keepmoat and the same applies to John Ryan and Co. I await something from the Dons Management to allay or confirm any fears. Are you certain that the current Mayor is a Dons fan ? Turning up now and again and standing in a box is a little different from being openly a Dons fan IMO.

| Yes it seems a bit vague moonlight. I thought Carl Hall had already stated in the free press that he was keen for the Dons to remain at the keepmoat. It is a bit worrying, but there are some fans who have said they would welcome a move to castle park, that would be fine for me, i can walk there in 10 mins. Just not sure if it would be best for the Dons future.

| The Dons could kiss bye bye to any dreams they might have of the big time if they moved from the Keepmoat.
I can never see Donny as a big club in reality, not least because they haven't got the support, but you gotta have a dream ..... cue for a song!

| why does everyone think the Rovers would want us out. didnt we rent Belle Vue off them and unless you know different i thought the Dons were looked after by the Rovers.
Also Rovers did promote the Dons games back then, which isnt done at the moment. (mind you that might have been because i was doing the tannoy lol! although i did get told to promote us to be fair)
