Andreas Bauer could make his Dons return on Sunday after recovering from a hernia operation.
Bauer said: “My first hard run with the boys was last week and if all goes well with my fitness test this week then I should be appearing in the team against Swinton.”
But Doncaster are likely to be severely tested by a Lions side that made encouraging progress last week.
Swinton coach Paul Kidd said: “The guys proved a lot out there against Leigh. There were lots of pleasing aspects of their play.
“We need to show that week-in, week-out if we are to be there or thereabouts.” Dean Gorton and Graham Holroyd are both set to miss Sunday’s clash.
