| Sunday sees us take on a depleted Leeds side at home. We could have won at Headingley, but our customary defensive lapses let us down. Leeds will be smarting from their loss at Huddersfield, so will be no pushovers and the young lads they have brought into the side have generally done well. We though are getting close to full strength and I'd like to think that the side that won at Bradford might have sneaked it at Headingley.
Its a shame White has been ruled out but having Hanbury, Ah Van, Marsh, Phelps, Owens, Brown and Mellor in the back line. The fact that we have Gerrard, Joseph, O'Carroll and Kavanagh available as our 4 props will also make a big difference, as Pickersgill's form has not been great of late and we might even have Cross back in contention, who would dearly love to get one back on McDermott. A back row of Hock, Allen and Cahill, is as good as we can put out and it seems Leuluai's work rate is likely to get him the nod on the bench before Winterstein.
I suppose that we might go with an all forward bench with both Leuluai and Winterstein, but I thought we might want to see how Gore (or even Craven) went as bench hooker, I always feel Clarke goes better through the whole game if he gets a breather, so it would be nice to see that happen.
Whatever happens I feel sure that we can give them a decent game and hopefully win, especially if by some miracle we score first and don't give away a 12 point lead early on.

| Sorry should have read:
..."but having Hanbury, Ah Van, Marsh, Phelps, Owens, Brown and Mellor in the back line, gives us our strongest set of backs for some time, with Owens perhaps the only player playing out of position!"

Personally I will be disappointed if we don't do 'em this time. I think we have to forget about 'getting on top of our defence'. We've been saying this ever since we let London Skolars score four tries in Betts's first game in charge - it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, is it? So let's post 30+ points and see where we get to.

| Will Leeds risk Peacock and Watkins in this game. If these two don't play it will make things easier for us.

| I think we never have a better chance of beating the loiners,we are at home,we are near to full strength,we are coming off a great win at bratfud after not playing too well plus they are struggling big style with injuries
My side would be
Hanbury,Owens,Phelps,Marsh,Ah Van,Brown,Mellor,O'Carroll,Clarke,Kavanagh,Allen,Hock,Cahill, subs Gerrard,Joseph,Winterstein and Gore on the bench
I have picked winters over lulu because hes a strike player off the bench and he almost always has a good game at home, especially against the better sides

| Same as Bradford for me if Heps fit, only change would be Craven on the bench to replace Lloyd.

It be the same for me but I can't see Gore getting a chance.I feel Betts will pick Leuluai and Craven.

| I'd love us to run them close, but think we could face the prospect of a heavy defeat here.
Last time, Leeds had several players who had played 72hrs earlier and had not had a huge amount of time to reorganise after suffering their injuries to key players. They have now had a couple of games to settle their replacements into the squad and other internationals will now be rested - this makes them a stronger team.
From the Vikings side, we will have the same squad, less one or two injuries so marginally a weaker side han last time.
Home game does favour us, but we will need to greatly improve field position on the last performance to make an impact on their line and play them in their half. Overall, I'm feeling a Leeds win by 12pts.

| I see that we are due to play in our "White Kit" on Sunday against Leeds. I hope that the "powers that be" have taken notice that we have yet to win a game wearing this strip.

| Just been watching the Bradford DVD and I have a concern that along with White, who we know is out for a while, Hanbury struggled throughout and I'm sure DB said he had blurred vision and Cahill went off with an ankle injury.
We can ill afford to lose either player for Sunday, but neither injury sounds good so i wonder if they will be risked?

| Hope that we take heart that we played so poorly at Headingley but still could have got something from the game. With a couple of props back, we should be able to get on top on this one.
We need to watch Sutcliffe, he's going to be a top player.

| We're at home getting back to be full strength (have we ever had a fully fit squad in 18 months). This is a game that given Leeds's injury problems we should be winning, especially at home. Their back line still has plenty of quality so if we can keep them quiet we will win.

| Is there any news on Hanbury and Cahill? The Club have announced White's injury, presumably because it is long term, but nothing on Hanbury or Cahill. The fact that Hanbury opted to play on was encouraging, so you get the impression that he will play if he can.
Cahill has always given the impression that he would play on through the pain!
Obviously you dont want anyone to play if they are going to be below par and or if they are going to make an injury worse, but Hanbury is right back in form and caused Leeds a few problems at Headingley so they will be very wary of him. Cahill is close to his best too so he would be missed, but we do have a bit more cover in the back row, especially if Cross is fit and can free up Kav to cover there, but we also have Winterstein, OK neither of them offer what Cahill does.
As others have said home advantage should give us an edge, but Leeds will be fired up after their loss to Huddersfield.

| Really looking forward to coming over on Sunday, and i agree with the sentiment on here that you guys have a good chance to turn us over. We may have our first choice backline playing this week, and the young lads in the forwards are improving all the time, but defensively we're struggling. If you manage to punch holes in us like you did at Headingley, you'll have every chance of getting the points in a high scoring game.
Either way i'm looking forward to the trip, and hope the best team wins, as long as its Leeds

| I'm a bit confused! Hanbury was named in squad yet any on here suggest he won't be playing - has there been something on twitter or elsewhere to support this?

Not into twitter myself so wouldn't know if anything has been tweeted, it wouldn't be the first time a player in the 19 wasn't thought fit, but I hoped that him making the squad meant he was available to play especially as Cahill had clearly been declared unfit.
The worry was the blurred vision DB declared he had had throughout the Bradford game. Yes he played through it, but I don't know how soon it cleared up or whether it would be best to rest him as a precaution. His name in the squad might just be to keep Leeds guessing since he was a thorn in their side at Headingley and played really well at Bradford despite the problem. I really hope he is fit and available as we will need all our strike weapons to be on display! The Leeds 3/4 line is back to full strength, so they will be a threat throughout. We just need to be able to score plenty of our own!
