| Hi all
Ill be travelling over for the Trinity game on April 26th and looking to stay over in/around Widness as I'm travelling to Wales the following morning so no point going back to Wakefield. Wanting somewhere decent to stay. Is there much to do in Widness? Any advice would be appreciated

It depends what you want to do really. It's not a really big town so we're not exactly bustling with entertainment but we're close enough to Liverpool if you like a night out on the tiles and there is a new complex with a cinema and bowling alley and restaurants etc not too far from the ground. That's also got a premier inn attached to it.

yes we have a fair bit to offer, best place to stay would be the premier inn below, nice new and you have a cinema (reel cinema) very close (easy walk) as well as ice skating if you have kids, links are below, massive tesco is also close.

| Directly before the game you've got the social club at the ground or Leggies (Cricketers Arms) just down from the ground. Opposite way at the top of Lowerhouse Lane is The Albion and further up Highfield Road on Birchfield Road is The Crown & The Horse & Jockey. All between 1 & 10 mins walk from the ground - non with an eclectic selection of beers but The Crown does good grub! Might be best if you're staying where VM has suggested to have a wander into Wetherspoons and a few other town centre hostelries as you'll be closer to them and a 20 minute walk to the ground from there.

| Mate the Social club at the ground is fine too.Cheap beer and a few big screens to watch tv..Red Chemic has mentioned a few decent pubs, and I would google the places to see what is best.Crown does good food but more expensive than the Imperial.Have a good time mate.
