The Vikings are today delighted to announce the signing of hooker Scott Moore from St Helens. The 23 year-old has agreed terms on a three-year deal from 2012.

Absolutely delighted with this signing and most importantly we have some real quality in the all important areas of fullback, scrum half, stand off, hooker and loose forward.

Still young and if can curb his drinking we could have a top player.Squad looking much stronger now, and in the Express Betts after a prop and a centre.Think Scott Moore was the worst kept secret.

Superb. Some real quality signings being made. We'll be underdogs but we've got a sound foundation for better things with signings like this.

Quality signing

I'll be honest i think we'll have a better team than a lot of people precited we would have but we still need 2/3 more signings imo. We have some very good players with Moore, Briscoe, Clarke, Watts, Isa and White(from what ive seen anyway). I still think we are in need of another Prop and centre, possibly a winger but the signings are looking a lot more promising than they were 6 weeks back.

Scott is only 23, a very handy player for a newly promoted club so i'm very pleased with this. Hoowever i do hope he can work on his discipline problems, on and off the field.

I agree with pretty much all this. We've got some quality there with a few weaker areas we could strengthen.

I think its going to be good to see how Ben Kavanagh steps up into SL aswell. Showed great abaility this year, lets hope he can continue to impress.

We did sign 4 players from Crusaders who did finish bottom. However i think we had the best pick of the bunch and may have required a couple of handy players. We've signed Watts from Australia who was rated highly, Briscoe who is an out an out SL fullback, Moore and Isa, young talented, promising players and a couple of others like Ah Van.

Compare our current squad to that of Wakefield and Salford of last year and how do you think it stands?

I agree with alot you are saying mate.Ben Davies has been playing very well at prop this year for Castleford.I would like to see another prop and centre though, and i think Betts mentioned this in the League Express.A goalkicking one like Craig Hall quality or maybe a few from Australia.Anyway when does Mullaly come back from Australia as be interesting how he will get on.Scott Moore is only 23 and hopefully matures on and off the pitch.If he does we have a cracking signing with Scott Moore.

Definately. I almost forgot about Davies then. Been holding his own at Castleford and i think he will mature into a fantastic player for the Vikings.

How could you forget Ben Davies.

I think he is only 21 and will get better with experience.Looking at our squad it is young and building for the future.

I completely forgot about Ben Davies too. Will be interesting to see his progress. Had him pegged as a future super league star when he played for us.

I was worried about your squad a few weeks ago, but you seem to be getting it together. I just hope the off field antics/reputations of a couple of your new signings don't start to cause you issues. The last thing you need is for it to affect other players in the squad, especially the younger ones.

Got another 3 to come from what im hearing. A prop, utility back and a mystery guest.

I was surprised when I saw he is only 23,seems to have been around for a while now. Still time for him to get even better,welcome Scott.

They aren't rumours. The story has been in the press. I think he has his trial this month. However, innocent until proven guilty.

Whats happened with Kevin Penny, has he moved on and if so where?

Was only on loan and apparently (via Martin Offiah twitter) we have rejected the chance to keep him so he's technically still a Wakey player.
