Right... I am well up for this game now!!!

I haven't been able to get to a match since we played Toulouse at Home what seems like ages ago.

The reports coming out following the game on Sunday was that the effort was there with patches of ability on display but in the end we were just outdone by a bit of class.
There were one or two reports in the press from Lulu and Tyrer about how well training is going and so I'm hoping that we can now push on with the season ahead.

This will be no easy game but I think it's one that we should be winning.

I'm hoping for a 32 - 18 scoreline.

We need a win simples, we have enough quality in the 17 to get the job done, they just have to play with some confidence and determination. If they show the same form as in the first 7 games of the season then we'll win.

Up the Vikings.

So win by 5+ and we go above them? Sounds like we've had a much more positive week than they have to plus doesn't Wright only coach once (if that) during the week to coach? Hopefully our boys will be buyoured from Saturday, probably a few changes so at least a freshness and let's get out there and stick it too them and show people what Widnes are about

), but a win by 12 moves us up the table towards fourth.

I'm definitely a bit more buoyed and really looking forward to this game. Should be a close encounter but I hope the home advantage takes it's toll and we can run out winners.

Thanks for the comments re the table etc. I just think it helps to paint a bit of a picture. I was going to add a few more bits for a bit more of a view and might do in the next few weeks.

I am gutted Lunt and Gore will be replaced by the duals, but they will freshen us up after only 4 days rest between games.If we play like we can for 80 mins we will win.

although can't remember - and sure someone will refresh me, but if handed a ban can a player still play under an appeal? and would that be done before thursday or held over until the next judiciary session? another thing is that i noticed the date of it - 22 feb, even by rfl time scales 3 months from offence to sentence is a bit long.

Widnes camp sounds buzzing this week and Barrow had a few problems and for one Ben Davies been in Magaluf all week yet still playing!

Hammering it down at the mo, i hate watching rugby in the rain, prepare for a good old knockonathon.

Ugh. I'll be high in the sky on my way to sunny Espanol. It's a hard life sometimes. I only wish I could take the bad weather with me and leave this country in a state of perpetual sunshine, but unfortunately, I'll be jetting off to gorgeous weather and leaving this country in the horrific ugliness that it is.

, couldn't get down as was working late so watched at home. great all round performance from the lads, last week seems to have instilled something - confidence maybe? barrow up to the usual again. great show from young jack owens there - only 16 to









one last point, and not often i say this. great performance from the ref, never really noticed him much tonight. had to laugh when he told thackery to do one

I was just going to post something about the ref... it's easy to say when you've won, but I think he did a really good job last night. There are obviously one or two things that we will say he missed and I'm not sure Barrow will agree but I agree he was pretty good.

One of the better refs I have seen in this league.
