He was great for us last time, provided much excitement and with Craven & Hulme injured would provide much needed competition in the backs with Paddy staying at FB.

Just need Craig Hall back and we have a winning combo, ill have to pester him on twitter.

Happy with Penney as will score a few tries and has plenty of speed.

Probably last chance saloon for him to save his career. It sounds astonishing for a player so young, but he's probably had a huge reality check at Wakey. The big money will no longer be waiting for him and it's on him to back up the potential he shown 3 years ago.

Great news. Loved watching him in a Widnes shirt and his enthusiasm is just what the team needs at the moment. RL is about excitment and entertainment and I think some of that gets lost at times, especially in some of the stuff we've served up this year. With Kevin on the pitch at least you know something crazy (either bad or brilliant) is potentially only a moment away. Look, I saw the enthusiasm you were all showing about this signing and I just wanted to bang all your heads together!!! What is happening at your club??? SOC has done wonders for your club over the last few years off the field. You have financial stability, a structure that most SL clubs would be proud of, but your sporting side is a joke. He clearly hasn't a clue about RL (not his fault, it isn't his first love, he just wants to give something back to his town). He is clearly a very successful businessman and, as every successful business man does, they surround themselves with good people who are experts in their field. All parts of the Widnes club have the right people in the right positions, except one. The actual playing side. You have absolute numpties in control of (in business terms) product development, quality control and product delivery.

Come on guys and girls you are being made fools of by the idiots who are hanging on to the coat tails of SOC and making money off him because he doesn't know the sport. You have signed Penny on loan because SOC is desperate to get momentum going as you go into Super League. Someone is telling him that he will excite the fans! Penny is a headless chicken (a quick one, but still a headless chicken), who can't even get into a Wakefield side doomed to relegation.

The fans of your club need to get close to your owner, and someone who knows something about rugby league needs to get in his ear and demand changes to the sporting structure of the club. You don't deserve three years of ridcule in super league, but that is what you will get if you don't make changes now, it's not too late.

Whilst a lot of that may be true. With regards to Penny the last time he was here he played really well, we might have made/be making poor signings but to be honest this wouldn't be the first one to spring to mind.
