| He does come across on Sky as on the ball (so to speak) as far as Super League games, statistics, holding up in a tackle before going to ground etc. but does this mean its our loss, could the time he must have to spend analysing each super league game to put his well analysed two penneth in for Sky come at a price, whilst he is having to do this (contracted I presume), does it detract from what he could be doing analysing teams in our league and giving extra advice/guidance to our players, lets face it there are only so many hours in a day and everyone deserves some me/family time, how can he fit it all in successfully, can the England coach do two jobs at once successfully? Tony Smith etc. I actually think what he says on sky makes sense, but that's a whole different ball/league game from where we are at the moment.

| Maybe, but you'd hope that he has learned to work around his commitments. When he 1st took over I didn't realise that everytime he appears on Boots n'all he has to fly down to London. Now considering he's on most weeks, it probably means a lot of his time on Monday and Tuesday is spent analysing the SL games and then Wednesday he's flying back and to to London. Doesn't appear to leave a lot of time for him to concentrate on the vikings does it? Maybe the analysis of the SL games doesn't take that long and also with us being part time, hopefully his Sky commitments are not too much of a hinderance.

| It's not really an analysis these days though is it? He just comes out with the same obvious statements and observations every week. While I didn't mind him being on there at first because he talks about the game with a passion, I'm now bored of hearing the same things for 20 minutes every week.

| At the start of the season following the announcement of his wife's illness the club understandably told Paul that he could take as much time away from the club as was needed and put in place some measures for this to happen. Since then Paul has surprised everyone with how much he is currently doing.
I have no idea when he puts together his analysis for sky or how long he spends doing it but he is currently at the club most days in a coaching capacity. He obviously has time away to care for his wife and family but PC's commitment to this club will never be in question where I am concerned.

It's not Paul Cullen's fault that you can't understand the points he is making and/or have a poor grasp of Rugby League mate.
Paul Cullen is one of the most committed and hard working people in Rugby League, almost to a fault. There is absolutely no question that his number 1 priority will be his work at widnes. He's a coach first and foremost. Until he quits that will be his prime focus.

' Upstream , knees and elbows ' , all he is doing is giving simple things that everybody has been using for decades a stupid name
Go on , explain to me the use of the word ' upstream ' in the so called modern game , but you are not allowed to say that it actually means running in the direction of the other team , which is actually the whole point of the game

| For what it's worth, I actually think he'd make a better coach rather than head coach. Very tactically astute but doesn't quite seem to set the world on fire as the 'main man'.

| I was reffering to "MUM's opening thread post regarding Cullan's job in TV & as to weather it is effecting the teams performance. Robbie has a busy job too while doing his degree he also feaures on TV, he writes collums & plays his rugby week in week out never missing a game always playing the full 80 but it doesn't appear to effect his performance on the pitch.
