Can't see the game being on, infact I wouldn't be surprised if we don't pass a ball in a game before the season starts.

Sunday's game at Fylde has been given some added spice as the Blackpool Chairman Bobby Hope has put up a trophy for the winners of the game.

With the home side lifting the Northern Rail 9s trophy in July, prior to the Vikings' Northern Rail victory over Barrow, Mr Hope has kindly donated a 'Champions of Champions' trophy for the game.

Thought I would pop over from the Panthers area and copy my post on to here.

"I got in touch with Nick Settle on the Panthers facebook page. The lads are due to train on the pitch Saturday am which will count also as the pitch inspection. Any news will then be put on the Facebook and relayed on to Widnes.
As soon as I see anything I will copy it on to here."

Fylde RUFC are due to play on Saturday afternoon. I believe they are subject to a pitch inspection on Friday afternoon so that may give some indication of how things are looking.

Apologise in advance if I am the bearer of bad news though.
