and so far I can't find anyone that can explain to me what it means!!!!

I think it means barring any major injury crisis they will play for Fev all year, They will be recalled if Leeds are short.

so a bit like the loan arrangement but with an immediate recall option?

Everyone thinks our squad is crap and i got a feeling we may surprise some teams as they all think better than ours.The youngsters we have got will be even better next year.The young lad thompson,houghton,kavanagh will do well.Chris gerrard will be a decent player and with the 2 or 3 more signings we will be a force. Lets stop worrying about other teams squad, as not on paper wins you things.I am confident and some teams have got ageing players.

So you were right the first time. No-one has a clue how dual-contracts will work, including the RFL it would seem.

I think the current understanding is that it most resembles a season long loan

The players are there for the year - unlike a season long loan they can be recalled by the SL club at short notice without seeking dispensation from the RFL. They could then return to the championship side when they are no longer needed in SL.

Other thoughts at the moment are that they are exempt from being under the Championship salary cap.

Like Pepe has said it's all a farce as the exact details don't appear to have been set out although a couple of clubs are already making arrangements!! Typical Rugby League...
