Tonight's game was very good - Fev deserved the win, and I am a bit peed off that thats the end of our season.

However, given that we have already ticked the box, I would sooner be in our position than any other club in NL1.

Lets hope we have a good off season in terms of recruitment.

My thoughts entirely. We were at one point well out of this league and when King Cullen took over things started to get better. We had no real rights to the league but our spirit and form got our hopes way higher than they would have been.

This season has been a positive. I think we can hold our heads high. We need a good close season and next season has to match this one but thanks to our NRC win doesn't necessarily have to better it.

Gutted were out. Credit to fev for a decent game, Im off for a drink.

I won't gloat. Had enough of that lately.

See you all next year - hopefully the comp will be even better (although losing Leigh is like losing a little toe). Will be interesting to see what everyone's expectations are come the 1st February 2010.

I'd be surprised if anyone is feeling any real pain tonight following on from that..

We might have felt differently had things not gone our way in Blackpool but we afforded ourselves the luxury of now being able to put our feet up comfortably and watch the rest of this great competition from our armchairs..

Tonight was yet again a terrific advert for this sport... largely untainted by the RFL.
