I think you're getting me confused with somebody else , my only aspersions were in relation to the financial announcements at Widnes in recent years , yes a bit of banter about your on field performance , but a whole load of stating you are far and away the best and biggest club in the Championships and the only club currently in a position to accept a SL licence with any confidence

When Widnes annouced they were 1m in profit or that was the turnover, I forget, you were all over this board telling anyone who would listen/read we were cheats you were even posting on the vt ffs.

No, our chairman had the foresight & the fanbase to see we could make it in SL.

You have to admit the first game this season when we were both undefeated we put 1k on your gate, every club in the Champ are going to miss us & you will all be a lot poorer when we enter SL.

Not just those two boards... Halifax, Leigh pretty much banging on to anyone that would listen and even those that wouldn't.

And was still doing so at the time of the announcement! You could read a thread on even the Leeds board about pending decisions and their would be 2/3 Leythers getting their kicks in, some even trying to justify their own inclusion

Its a sad state of affairs when a club is obviously encouraged to massage the financial figures but when that same club spends the next 3 years telling the world how good its youth systems are and then systamatically starts ripping them apart and releasing all its kids, what are we suppose to think?.

As for letting the kids go only Hulme has gone from the youth who deserved a contract, the rest were not good enough for Super League.

We also didn't fudge figures it's not rocket science! The first year we put structures and changes in place at a big cost, the second year was then mainly money coming on.

It was the constant trolling on this board and demanding that all the Widnes supporters on it bow down and agree with every word you say, that ed me and the rest of us off. Now we have a situation where Leigh, utterly desperate to meet the on-field qualification, have gone and told the RFL how they could increase their income (not their turnover) in order to increase the amount of money they can spend on the cap, thus gain advantage over other clubs. This is despite knowing full well that, due to the costs of playing at the LSV, increasing income would be impossible. So, that’s cheating then. The outcome for Leigh is that they failed to meet the on-field criteria, but they have lost their owner and are now in a far weaker financial position.

I’m not trying to tell you anything. I couldn't give a feck what you think. You just seem a little inconsistent in the way you judge Widnes compared to the much worse situation at Leigh, which you’d clearly prefer to brush under the carpet and stay in denial of.

Again, Widnes fan’s didn’t see fit to go on other boards slagging your club off for it and stirring the sh\t in order to create bitterness against your club.
