God awful decision to not take the two. We'll come to rue that decision come the end of the season I think.

Not the worst performance in the world but we struggled to stop their big men.

Some decent individual performances and you get the feeling that if we could add Thacks and a scrum half with some ounce of quality we might trouble some sides.

Smith was back to somewhere where he should be performance wise but it looked like it was his decision to run the penalty at the end and if it was then that is criminal.

Most of the young lads whether they be academy graduates or the ones brought in from elsewhere are coming along nicely.

Chris Gerrard is slowly becoming an excellent player too. He wont ever be a stand off but I think he will eventually settle at LF and with his good hands and being a rock in defence he will fit in well there for the future.

Stupid decision not to take the 2 at the end, Craven was our best and Branighan and Black won it with a great kicking game.

Nice bit of Biff at the end and Nash was shown up by Deano the much smaller man. I cant remember but another Halifax player started the second rumble by throwing a punch in.


Conclusion is a slightly improved performance but we still wont make the play offs IMO.

Barlow ran in and threw the punch that really kicked it off - just that the soft tw@ hit Nash, his own player!!! Beswick then threw another punch at Gannon after it all seemed to calm downand it went off again.

Better performance. Full of heart tonight but we were seriously hit by Allens injury. What small chance we had went with him going off. Gannon was trying too hard but the kids never let us down.

A decent game where the best team won. And the score was about right too.

We were always going to struggle to break Fax down when you saw the team sheet, not one real creative player in our entire team tonight. Coyle Might do as a stand in scrum half but if we are relying on him next season we might as well call the season off, he has no kicking game, passing game or running game. Other than that he is great.

Our youth players are looking good now they are starting to break into the first team, With more to come over the next few years i can't wait to see some of these lads playing for the first team and showing our investment was worth it.

The fight at the end was not too bad, they should have just left Deano and Nash to fight it out so we could laugh at the pasting Nash would have taken. Play rugby Nash, because you hit like a girl.

All in all an entertaining game where we played better than i expected.

They'll never see Super League. Never. Like Fax's youth team of three years ago - just not good enough. You need 25 brand new players in 2012, seriously.

Very poor refereeing send one off and one sin bin for fax and one sin bin for us, should have been our penalty. Ref had a bad game over all.

Terry O Connor wants to make love with the whole Widnes team, we have to have at least 1 impartial commentator in with O Connor.

He lost the ball after an attack to his neck by a widnes player(gaskell I think). I honestly think he released the ball to allow himself to retaliate! Both players should be in hot water,along with many others from both sides after that disgraceful episode. Not what we need on SKY TV. Is it?

Had a bad game, he didnt do to bad actually, your saying that cause you lost, Nash had the ball ripped out by like 3 of your lads, the ball wouldnt have rolled 10 yards forward when it came out if he had just dropped it

I said as much when Vikingman posted up the squad list on here at the beginning of the season. Obviously I was roundly set upon when I pointed out this fact. Don't worry though, I'll be back on here in January to assess next years squad. Read it carefully next time

At the end of the day nobody was hurt and all the players seemed to be shaking hands at the end of the game including Sam Barlow just like it should and always his been in RL.

I personally dont think there's an awful lot between the top teams in the division and I include ourselves in that. We havent been completely walloped by anyone in this league, I'd say the Batley home game was the worst performance of the season. You cant go out every week and make 6 or 7 changes to your team and expect to have any cohesion in your set plays and defence. I'm not making any excuses but the fact of the matter is we have had horrendous injury problems all season, Think we have used nearly 40 players this season, maybe more. Cullens been in and out which hasnt helped either. The big plus though is that we have brought in quite a few youngsters and each and every one of them hasnt looked out of place in the 1st team. Craven, Lunt, Kelly,Hulme all look to have massive futures if they continue to develop. Last night I thought the senior players let us down by giving away too many penalties.

Not sure where she's from, but you could be right, she had a wigan twang to her voice, and what a voice it was. I feel really sorry for Deano having to put up with it. She swore continually throughout the game and her mate had a kid with her, what sort of a role model will she be????

But I do concede she is probably not a widnes lass. We were sat next to some widnes fans who were really nice people, so I shouldnt tar everyone with the same brush
