I avoided the Halifax fixture as at this point in time i think we would get beat by yourselves. But that Fax game is likely to be the first for the new coach whoever that might be.

It's a different comp from the one that's happening at the moment. It's the season proper and i think players will approach these games much differently. Who's going to be your new coach?

I have no idea who the coach is going to be, i spoke to one of the backroom staff today at the game and they said the club had 14 applications so far.

All the above played very well, probably give it Duffy if i had to pick one.

Good to see Duffy doing well after some of the stick he recieved last year. Also pleased to see Ostick is keeping his great form up.

I thought he had an ok game, but was quite strict (for both sides) on technical offences. We seemed to get pinged for a high number of penalties, but yet I can't remember us putting in hardly any high or dirty tackles. I also thought in the 1st half Blackpool were pushing their luck with high tackles and Alcock in particular seemed to be getting away with a lot. I think its a shame when blatent dirty play goes unpunished but teams are hammered for minor infrigements.

So overall, didn't make any blunders, but like so many refs, got too involved instead of letting the game flow (and then get involved when he has to). I could be wrong but I would imagine the total number of penalties was quite high and yet it wasn't a dirty game at all really. I suppose its not their fault - if they dont keep the letter of the law, they'll soon be pulled into line.
