I just can't believe none of them can kick more than 20metres, they're proffesionals. i'm sure some must have a boot on them, gannons frustration kick after the knock on got us atleast 40 yards, and landed in the ingoal, maybe he should get the job?
Quote="OFFTHECUFF"Easy yards and the work effort is taken away if can boot 30 or 40 metres?Means 3 tackles of work.
If want to be good, then we need a better kicking game.'"
Kicking is vital to the game. The amount of times I've seen us fail for the lack of a good kicker makes me a little worried for the new season. You can either pin them back on the fifth tackle with a good kick or let them get right back on you, and the whole pressure of the game depends on that. Also, conversions and penalty conversions make up over a third of your points. We've won because of kickers, we've lost because of them. It's like having a dynamite midfield in football and a bad lone striker.
Chris i worry about it as could be vital in big games that are close.Missing 4 out of 7 kicks could be fatal.Maybe the widnes coaches are reading this and the trust site.Wish i could go on the pitch just to kick to touch and goal kicks.
