Agreed. It's a great shame that it didn't work out but that's how sport is sometimes. All signings carry a risk. Things didn't go his way, arriving on his own the day that the UK went into lockdown, injured in his second game, picked up Covid then a season ending hamstring injury.

Agreed made an effort on the pitch, just too many injuries, probably should have retired at the end of last season.

Was a gamble that didn't pay off, time to stop making big gambles like this in the future.

Sounds to me that we are not in a rush. Especially as we still have youngsters who can play there.

I'd be surprised though if we hadn't at least asked Sam Williams' agent about his terms.

Sad that it has ended this way for Reynolds and the club but no matter how much effort he put in the performances were just not good enough. I think after his knee injury last season in hindsight both he and the club should have called it a day then.
Reading the article in the HDM and particularly BH comments towards the end it seems he may be the one that has pulled the trigger for the benefit of the team.

I'd look for someone longer term or stick with what we have.

This was a “Wire level poor” signing for you guys this one. His last 18 months at Wests Tigers were terrible, with multiple injuries and few good performances. Whoever signed him needs to be sacked and taken on here at the HJ immediately.

Probably worst than any signing you have made to be fair.

greg inglis was a disaster for wire,only played 3 games.

If we’re talking the worst signing in Super League, Willie Mason, now there’s a disaster, at least Inglis played 3 games, Reynolds played MORE!!!!

What a joke that was. Got 12 months notice and still wasn’t “fit” enough to play until 4 months into the season. Looked about 45, played 2 games, did his hamstring in game 3 then goodnight god bless. Peak post 2015 Wire recruitment that was.

After a good spell with the Bulldogs he signed a 3 year deal with Wests said to be around $2 Million and hardly played due to injury and poor form. On his time at Wests he defined his tenure there as being a dud signing for the club.

After his 2021 season I asked on here if he was also a dud signing for Hull. As Hodgson was at the Tigers with Reynolds he should shoulder some responsibility for his recruitment.
