| Is Jake, unlucky to miss out, Hardaker & Evalds are Wanes choices.
But for me Jake offers a bit more versatility than Evalds.

| The squad shows by how much the sport has weakened over the years. No real stars in there, not one player that non-RL fans would recognise or even know the name of.

Evalds is the much better full back
Why do you think he is unlucky to miss out?

Of course he is, it fits your view that Connor should be stand-off. You claimed for long enough that Quinlan’s better but he’s been left without a contract.

Yes, because of his versatility, he’s scored tries at international level in the halves, and was superb at centre for us.
Under Bennett he flourished, while Shaun Wane seems to overlook him.
Who is the better full back, difficult one for me, Evalds has pace, and a pass, but I’ve seen him caught out by the high ball. Not much of a kicking game if any.
Jake has that xfactor, super passing game, safe hands, a kicking game which is ever improving, a few 40/20s in there as well, short kicking game etc. Can be caught flat footed.
Honest appraisal, and I still don’t know if he’s unlucky to be left out, you say Evalds is a better full back, I wouldn’t swap.

Is that because they’ve all buggered off home and NRL clubs refuse to release their players?

Me neither. I got a photo of a Shaun Wane lookalike, spitting image really, driving a Wigan fans coach at Wembley 2017, really funny.

| I think what's more concerning as RL fan is the overall quality of the squad that Wanes picked which says more about the poor standard of SL. There's a number of players in the squad that have had a poor season so I think Connor could consider himself unlucky as he offers something different and would certainly be worth a place in the squad though.
It doesn't seem his face fits within the Wane camp and these things happen, much like Watts when he was one of the best forwards in SL at the time and continued to get overlooked for selection. As for FC fans being in meltdown I think Callum Walker needs his bumps feeling or he needs to get off the sauce if he really thinks that. Though as is they way with media its more like a click bait headline for articles that have no substance much like this one which seems to be there just to provoke reaction.

| From a selfish point of view I don't want any Hull players anywhere near the England squad, the last time they were Connor picked up a 2 month injury playing in a pointless game, I want all our squad rested up and ready for the new season.

My view is Evalds is the better full back.
The only time i have advocated Connor to be at 6 was recently as a replacement for McNamara who just wasnt offering us anything in that position.
I have always said Connors best position is a centre where his lack of pace is more forgiving and he can use his handling skills to get on the end of kicks to the corner and to put his winger away something we hardly see from our current centres.

| Who knows unless he is given a chance I suppose.
Always looked to be a good player in there when he was with us so I hope the lad goes well.

I don’t think so. Not anti Dobbins, but proves what lack of quality is in super League at this moment in time.
Apart from a few names, it could be an England Knights squad.
Glad Hull aren’t contributing any players. Leave well alone and concentrate on our pre-season.

And yet Hull KR fans could rightly argue that up to his injury Jordan Abdul was leading, along with Sam Tomkins, the MOS steel charts. Not only the best half back around but the leading player fin 2021. I believe St Helens even made an bid to entice the player in mid season so the player must have impressed top coaches as well as collecting votes from the neutrals in the MOS table.
