I watched them last night against the pies, although Leon lad Will Pryce is only just starting his career, he already looks a tremendous prospect at half back, very quick, beats men, kicking game, his dad was commentating on the game and you could tell he was over the moon with his performance, yet trying to subdue his obvious delight, he couldn’t when his lad scored.

Sounds like a few out for covid protocols for the game, which is interesting as according to Rovers fans we cheated the system to avoid bottom club Leigh and world champions elect Rovers.

Obviously for Rovers 3 games against the top 2 and us (all sides above them) which they cancelled, that was different and all above board.

You're not eligible for the playoffs if you don't play enough games, maybe you can't be relegated (Leigh) if you don't play enough games.

According to Brett Hodgson in the Yorkshire Post you can only rearrange a game in the order they were postponed which is potentially good news for us, not so much for our neighbours.

Derby was our first game cancelled.

But not for rovers...they have to get in Catalan or saints before us

Leigh was our first game postponed, followed by Rovers

Salford game was cancelled on 5/7 then Leigh 11/7 then the Derby on 15/7?

In the circumstances not a bad team and at least it has balance. Quite a decent pack and boosted with the return of Carlos in the backs. Only minor positional changes. Swift has already proved himself to be solid at full back and think Cam Scott did a spell in pack before?

It will be great if this team can get a result on Thursday. Hopefully, we’ll have a few more back to field a strong team v Leeds the week after.

Apparently Cas and Saints close to having to call their games off at Cats and v Rovers respectively due to Covid.

Must have both picked it up after the game on Saturday and tested positive 2 1/2 days later. Quite unlucky considering all squads would have tested negative prior to the game and our group, along with the rest of the fans, had to show Covid vaccine certificates or negative tests to get into Wembley



Shame to lose another couple of fixtures. However, at least it would allow Rovers the chance to re-schedule their game at Cats this weekend.

I said last week that although ir would be controversial we should stop testing players unless they feel unwell then treat it as any other illness.
If we dont we may as well write off the season as most fans are losing interest in the game fast

I agree, we should either extend the season, scrap the season or start treating Covid cases as an injury, especially now we’ve had Freedom day and the pubs/clubs are open again.

Seems odd that you can postpone a game due to Covid with 7 or 8 cases, however Hull have to play this week with 10 out, although four of those are long term injuries.

I’m glad we are playing this week and would rather play each week, even if it means having to have an Academy player on the bench.
