| Okay, so I'm planning to drive down to Lens for a few days and cycle down to Oppy village for the Rememberance & commemeration service on the 3rd May and stay for a few more days to get a few miles in on the bike and on the 5th cycle over to Arras to pay respects at the Arras memorial as this will be the 100th anniversary of Jack Harrison's death and he and other Hull Pals are named there having no seperate grave.
And as a side note if anyone really wanted something to be laid either on the 3rd at Oppy or 5th at Arras and couldn't get someone on the coach trips that are apparently going from Hull, I'd take it if it wasn't too big/fragile as I'd be putting it into my cycle pannier bags.
You would have to post it to me in Hertfordshire however. Just a thought.
For the trip I was hoping to get a special Hull FC cycle jersey commissioned.
I always wanted to get one done to replicate a Hull jersey but never got around to it but would like to get one not just for this commemoration but for me to wear whenever I feel like it. Special cycling events would be brilliant to wear it for.
So, what design.
traditional irregular hoops but really old style or the 70s/early 80s? Also the original 'White star' design and if so a logo/design/wording on the back as it'll be all black?
I won't be ripping the clubs badge off so will just use the city's 3 crowns and Hull FC 1865 underneath on the left breast.
I'd love to have a 150 year legacy style shirt done with all the players that ever played for the club in that time but would push costs up astronomically (a single one-off jersey is likely to cost £120-£170 anyway)
Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated, even better if you already have a design on the accepted file formats to forward on.
If I can get something sorted and others were interested potentially could do a run of 10 but still going to work out pretty spendy but who else will have one  |

it's a forum, one expects not to agree on matters, it's the vitriol shown by certain posters that I can't tolerate.
I used to be a regular cycle tourist around France so i've seen my fair share of the cemetaries in passing but only stopped at a few mostly in the Somme bay area.
I haven't been over in recent years for various reasons but thought this was something I'd make the effort for but have only just being able to confirm I can make it so it's all a bit last minute larry.
Initially was going to cycle all the way and get a base to cycle out from but that would literally add 3 full days and almost 200 miles as cycling from N.Herts to Dover is a bit of a bind tbh and would be two days, then it's another 60miles (avoiding the motorway) to Lens from Calais. doable but I hate cycling in the rain, more so if it's a long journey and I wouldn't be able to bring plonk back.
I've done my miles in the past, too unfit and old for that shizzle now.lol

'Hull FC' in white across on the black band below the shoulder as opposed to the badge.
The three crowns to be plain white on black with the smaller lettering also in white as it's on the black band
no 'airlie birds' on the front chest and the banding to continue across the rear pockets.

No problem I can do the suggested changes and supply the print ready logos for you. I think you then send the sketch & logos to the manufacturer and they will produce the artwork. Can't do it while Thursday as I'm away until then. |

if we can finalise a design that's agreeable to all and pop it on here for everyone to view or a new thread so we can get people to register interest/commit to buying then I'd be happy to process an order.
However me committing to paying will need those saying they want a jersey/s to be absolutely sure they want and will follow through with funds. Having helped sort out bulk orders for multiple people before I don't want to be left hnaging/in the lurch. funds can be Paypal personal or purchase with fees added. clearly there's an element of trust.

please check your current cycling garments so that you're absolutely sure on correct fitment.
If when we agree a design those interested to PM me an email/deets so I can collate/place the order and get a final total from the manufacturer including postage.
Obviously the more garments ordered the cheaper it works out for everyone.
Lastly distribution, the jerseys would be coming to me in Hertfordshire as a bulk delivery. I will check each individually to ensure they are up to scratch quality wise/correct sizes and then;
a) forward them on to one of the persons ordering in Hull for the rest to collect from .someone in hull would have to take that job on for people to collect. Cost of forwarding the rest of the jerseys would be divvied up.
b) making it simpler each purchaser pay me the cost of insured postage for each of your individual orders and I post everyones out. that'll cost more than sending all the jerseys up as one lot obviously but requires least effort from everyone but me but i'm happy to repackage each order/send out. A single jersey should be approx £4 signed for 2nd class. 2 jersey's would likely exceed the £50 RM compensation so you need to figure out if you're happy with the £50 RM cover or want an uprated service.
c) you wait until my next visit up to Hull and I bring all the jerseys up with me, this would be the weekend after my French trip so 13th/14th May. you would then need to collect from my folks in Sutton where I'll be staying or potentially if not too far I could drop over by bike.
anyway hope that's a plan that sounds okay/not too complicated! |

Another long time forum reader - would definitely be interested in the cycling shirt, or maybe two subject to the design and costs - probably a medium for getting aero and a large for casual commuting. Will check sizings and confirm.
The trip to Oppy sounds interesting, hopefully see some photos on here at some point.

Okay so for me the above with simply the 3 crowns badge on the chest the HULL FC wording on the back is the design I personally want. I respect that others may not want/like and that's totally cool but I'm only wanting to put one order in with one design (this also keeps the per jersey cost down as each design is treated as a different run.
As I've said before I'm happy to sort things out and come back with final cost/final design sheet from manufacturers and once eventually get order delivered to me send out individually as required.
If those who have registered an interest here but haven't sent a PM, do so with contact details if seriously interested (that doesn't mean commitment at this stage) after checking out the manufacturers pages re sizing etc, costs as per my previous post are looking like;
10 - 19 garments £34.00 +VAT +individual post if required
20 - 39 garments £30.50 +VAT +individual post if required
So far with casual interest it's up to approx 14 incl 3 for myself (I'm going to have a long sleeve too)
Please also note the std spec, I don't want folk not knowing exactly what they will be getting in terms of the jersey itself
