| I think he'll be a big loss and I'm not just saying that on the back of his performance today. His try scoring record in an average team is fantastic. Pearson mentioned a while back that he should have tried harder to keep him so maybe there was room at that time to accommodate him under the cap. His defensive reads are poor at times but so are a lot of wingers and he has only just turned 23 and with the right coaching has time to improve. Assuming Fonua plays centre next season we have lost our best winger by a country mile. With Logan inside of him we would have had a great right edge combination for many years.

Good player, but still makes errors and that showed today, cost us two try's in the first half, two walk ins and two brilliant finishes. I'd rather have kept him, but was he value for money and did he want to stay. I don't play the club for talking the money and investing it elsewhere such as Taylor, Pritchard and keeping Logan.
Logan could be a superstar and any winger outside could score 20 try's next year if he plays week in week out.

| have a look at a certain Mr Martin Offiah's defensive record, still one of the best wingers ever. Tom is a HUGE loss to the club, not sure he's gone anywhere better looking at Warrington this season, but he fell out with Radford in March and was never going to stay.

Game has changed since Offiah's days and a winger has to be an around player, rather than just score trys. Lineham is a loss, certainly not a huge loss, no were near in the class of Briscoe.

| Well I'm sorry to see him go. He's a good player already and there's still room for improvement. However given his injury record I can see the thinking behind cashing in on him now - though its not a decision I agree with and if he stays healthy for a few years it will look rather foolish.

Yep. He wanted to go and we managed to get a fee from it, that's all anyone knows on here.
Pretty gutted he's going though, he's scoring record this year has been fantastic after an injury hit 2014. Positionally he has to and will improve, but I'd struggle to pick out many other weak areas of his game.

| Think Fonua will score equally as many tries given the same room. Fonua will be better in defence and will be far more destructive In his returns. Plus we got good money and this is his 1st full season ever. I'm fine with it given we'll have binman Fonua Naughton and lancaster as wing options

Fonua will play centre not wing
Our wing options for next season are poor and Lineham will be missed.
Naughton will never make a good winger.he is too small and lightweight.Dont think he will stay around too long anyway as his appearances will be limited to other player injuries.
Lancaster unknown but again small and lightweight and would be peppered with high kicks from the opposition
Michaels probably the best of what we have at this level.
Talanoa is OK carries the ball strongly as we know but is no speed merchant and may end up as a centre once again
Total imbalance between forwards and backs for next season.

Burgess at Wigan isn't exactly big is he.....end of the day,Lineham wanted to clear off and not see out his contract,so let him go.He scored 16 pts for us yesterday but cost us 10.

Another good player peed off by Radford
Burgess is 6ft 3 and 15 stone how big do you want him to be.
only 20 with a large frame to develop but real speed, presence, athleticism and try scoring ability.

| Wingers don't look great next season, I'd go with Talanoa and Michaels on the wings but no real speed from either.
As for Talanoa at centre. He's not any better then Yeamo there. Another who struggles to pass and doesn't look comfortable there. Play him on the wing or don't play him at all.
Shaul
Talanoa
Fonua
Tuimavave/Logan
Michaels
That's what I'd go with. Naughton can back up fullback and wing.

I'd expect that to be our 1-5, Logan likely to be nipping at the heels of the other two centres. Agree about Talanoa, did ok filling in at centre for a while but is best to be on the wing only

| The whole 3/4 line looks poor again next year although fonua might be good. When michaels is probably our 2nd best centre/winger then you know things aren't good. Huge amounts of money tied up in the back row, not enough depth of quality at prop and our centre and wing options nowhere near good enough.
Anyone who thinks losing lineham is anything but a massive loss needs to think about how many Hull players have scored 25 tries in a season in the last 8 years. Add in the fact he has missed a fair few matches and it's a great achievement. Given the choice between keeping lineham or radford I know which I would have chosen

Naughton at the same age as logan and the other young bunch and only been wing specific training during the season 'will never make it' odd comment that
Lancaster 'lightweight' not seen him recently then? Kids developing hell of a physique on him
I thought Fonua was playing centre but think I got my wires crossed in a convo with a coach member. Think he's down for wing. Given logan s development that would seem very possible. Binman is moving back to wing.
Shaul
Fonua
Logan
Carlos
Binman would be ok for me
With lancaster michaels Naughton backing up

| Said as soon as we announced Manu that we had far too much of the salary spent on the back row.
Seriously lacking another top class front rower, and an outside back to be competing next season imo.

he didnt say short on numbers in the front row he said top class and he is correct.
sad to say none of our bench props have had any impact this year and it was clear to see the difference once Paea and Watts were off the field.
We have an extremely unbalanced squad for 2016.

Just about everyone can see that apart from the Coach.
How can you go from the verge of signing Inu a winger/centre then change your mind and use the money to sign Manu a second rower.

Maybe the emergence of Logan has helped with that?
FFS if we'd of signed a better centre then everyone would of been kicking off that Logan wasnt getting a chance
Regards Lineham he is a massive loss and yet again we lose a prize winger to a better team - who can blaim him though?
Personally i think our biggest weakness is half back. I think Sneyd is a great player but he needs class around him and Pryce is past it now so that only leaves Abdul and hes not a half back
