| We travel in great numbers and support the team, but then we have a home Match and we are getting beat so after 65 minutes we all just March out, when Wigan fans are taking the waving bye to us that I know how low we have stooped, they must of been less then 2k at full time, and we go on about been the best fans in rugby league ONLY WHEN WE ARE WINNING, and to all you that will say we have a right to do what we want cos we pay our hard earned money to go, sorry that doesn't wash with me, no matter what we shouldn't act like that and just walk cos we are getting beat, if you think it will make Pearson act your very wrong he'll just take his money and go and that will be it for hull fc, because we won't exist anymore

| Totally disagree. Hull FC fans are the best in rugby league.
Collectively we've been sold short and delivered underperformance for the last 10 years yet it's only relatively recently that the fans have shown their frustration.
The club has taken fans loyalty for granted for too long in my opinion.

By "take his money", I assume you mean "cut his losses"?
I do sort of agree with your sentiment though. Our fans are baling out due to lack of winning, unentertaining rugby but more importantly lack of confidence in improvement.

| Reading this I think you have the biggest mood swings...
I think you'll find you're no different ot any other set of fans in the country (or world) when it comes to walking out when taking a tonking. The fact you state you take big numbers and still have one of the better average attendances states that you can't be the worst.
I do wonder about the whole top 8 split thing though after watching that, Hudge stated that qualifying could be detrimental to pass sales going forward and he may have had a point (albeit one that was only ever going to sound like trying to make a bad position look good). Now don't get me wrong I don't want our club in the relegation scrap that we're going into BUT there is a part of me that wouldn't relish the thought of seeing the season end in a series of noncompetitive losses.
I've said for a while unless your one of the current top 3 the super 8 will be a boring comp, the middle 8 will be better for spectators, just would have rather been cheering teams on against you rather than biting my nails worrying about us.

| Never have and never will leave a game before the final whistle. I think it's an insult to the lads putting there body's on the line while wearing the hull FC badge on there chest . You don't see our fans leaving early at away games when we are getting beat , agree about the kc atmosphere tho (I think a standing area would bring a lot more noise the games) . Hoping to convince my uncle and cousin to love seats next season as I don't think o can take much more of the moaning git in front of me .
Best away fans in the league without a doubt

Thats the problem both sets of fans worry more what the other is doing and the sooner they get out of that the better. The problem is fans expectations are far from reality either side were never going to trouble the top sides and when we fail seem surprised ?? Leeds ,Wigan Saints ect are streets ahead and although both sides have taken some scalps its were you are at the business end what counts and we are way off. Both side have some very good players but also have some very average ones.I have said it before and say it again expectations from both sets of fans is unrealistic with the squads we have.

Absolutely spot on.
The difference this year to season gone by is that in the past we would have a poor performance in the play offs and pack up and go home. This year we have another 7 weeks of misery to look forward to. I genuinely hope I am wrong, but given the lack of heart, desire and commitment last night I fear the worst.
In answer to the opening question, I fail to see how anybody can question the fans commitment. Since 2006 we have been served up dross with the odd highlight. I think this season is now begining to show that many will not take it any longer. AP will have to do some amazing marketing to pull things round for 2016. I certainly don't see how one or two "star" signings is going to make a massive difference.

| Crowds are well down this season, the official numbers they announce are a nonsense (includes the passes the SMC have to buy, the passholders who don't turn up etc) and I'm joining the stay away fans by not renewing next season, enough is enough. I simply can't watch another full season of rugby where we can't even do the basics like pass and catch and I'm struggling to see any signs that we'll be any better next year. Rugby league is entertainment at the end of the day and seeing regular poor performances in a near silent stadium not even close to half full just isn't entertaining.
Too many years of hype, spin and false promises (under both Heatherington and Pearson) have wrecked this club. Needs a clean sweep out from boardroom to coach to many of the players.

Spot on, although I do think our expectations are set a bit lower than yours but we swing as badly from world beaters to relegation fodder in a week. Interesting reading another thread on here that says you need the following
1. Pace
2. Coach with pedigree
3. Owner who delivers
4. Pace
5. Good recruitment
6. Pace
We need
1. Size
2. Coach with pedigree
4. Size
5. Good retention
6. Size
We tend to be the mirror image of each other in all aspects except delivery

I think generally speaking this year we have been very realistic about our chances. I don't recall anyone expecting us to finish any higher than 6th. But we expected progress and I see very little of that. Same old mistakes. Same old unprofessional performances like last night. (Forget how good Wigan are, we made it incredibly easy for them). Littered with the odd spark of something potentially good. Sadly the contrast is often there within the space of a match. Leeds at home 12 - 0 at half time and then boom. All destroyed within 5 minutes of the break.
The rivalry with Rovers would be incidental if we eradicated the extremes of our performances. Things I will add that AP stated would never happen again under his watch. 4 years on........

It's so very easy to suggest Pearson has ruined the club and should go. Sensible alternatives, such as the small matter of identifying a wealthy benefactor waiting to take on a club losing money are a bit trickier. Let's say Pearson needs to break even and to do so cut the wage bill by 30%. Should he be transparent with fans about this and realistic ambitions of top 8 max? Or "spin"? I suspect he's in a no-win situation here.

| A few weeks ago I was out with some mates and was talking about Hull, I said I am going to Hull more out of loyalty then enjoyment and unfortunately I still stick my that. After the Wakefield away game I decided I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Hull, by mistake I booked tickets to a comedy night for last night, I rightly decided to go to that over Hull despite having a pass ( I offered my pass for free to a few people, all turned it down) and unless things change and we start performing consistently I can't see me getting a pass next year.
Last night looked a nothing game to Hull, they had qualified fur the 8s and that was enough, seriously lacking intensity compared to Wigan, I fear this will be the pattern for the rest of the season.

My thoughts exactly! I hate the KC .
It is too nice , too sanitised.
Give me a stadium with terraces any day . I wish the Boulevard could have been modernised into a Haliwell Jones style ground .
All seater Stadiums create no atmosphere for RL .

| I always argue Hull are the most loyal fans in RL. Every GF, every CCF, every international, every tour I have been on there are probably more Hull fans there than any other apart from the respective finalists. Unfortunately you have more than your share of muppets.

Was just going to say the same. You're not the worst fans in rugby league, you show up in numbers and are ever-present, but gosh this forum is bipolar. One win and you're sky high, all the Radford haters were wrong, one loss and it's like the whole club is crumbling.

| I didn't buy a pass this season, and I've already made up my mind I won't next.
I nearly went to last nights game and decided at last minute to watch it on SKY, I'm glad I did.
The stadium argument is futile, there is going to be no Haliwell Jones - we don't have the money, and there is no viable alternative to the KC. Someone mentioned staying at the Boulevard and upgrading that, but that wasn't an option either, we didn't have the money then either.
And in response to fickle fans/leaving early - how else can fans show their disappointment? They can't. Not showing up in one way, and leaving early after a tonking is another.
Fans rarely leave early after close well fought out defeat, but leaving early after a pounding and a very poor performance is perfectly acceptable to me.
Staying till the last minute last night then applauding is basically accepting mediocrity IMO? Last night wasn't even mediocre it was utter garbage.
Fans do have a right to protest, and the players, coaches and owner should be shown that what they have served up is rubbish, we do that with our legs in not going or standing up and leaving early.
And through all of this the biggest and most glaringly obvious hole in all of it is that AP hasn't installed a proven and experienced coach. He says he's tried everything - he hasn't.
Appreciate they don't come cheap, but maybe just spending a little less on the cap and using the difference to pay for a top coach, money talks and I'm sure one could have been found if the money was there. And a top coach couldn't but be motivated by the facilities and youth structure that had been put in place.
I said last night, was the result due to the players not being good enough or because they are not coached to reach their full potential? I believe the sum of all the parts should be greater than it is, which would suggest its coaching.
So, if you want to stay till the end an applaud that last night, then fair play to you, but it seems the majority are hacked off and making their voices felt in one of the few ways they can, with their feet.
That's not fickle, it's called being ed off.

| I think we have some of the best fans in the game. Throw in some muppetts which every team have. IMO anybody who pays has the right to go when they want. I am always in the half glass full group where some on here are the half glass empty and that causes a lot of the arguments. Hopefully next year we can regroup and get up the table. On the other hand lol
