I say we should boycott the food stalls.

I generally do but if they're not being used the next step will be to have them closed on FC match days. So not being able to walk up on the day , away supporters having to buy tickets in advance and if they come having no place for a beer or food even if overpriced wouldn't be helping to make it a welcoming place to come for the casual or away fan. No doubt that's Allam's intention and of course to present us with the alternative which would be to tear up the current lease agreement and start again on his terms. He really is a prize pill0ck!

I normally buy a drink of something before the game but that is normally to numb the pain of watching us play haha suppose I could get drunk before going in!

There are stewards, its the turnstile staff who got the sack

I have it from a reasonable source that stewards wages have been cut back to the point some won't be returning. Could it be parts of the stadium will close as there isn't the required number of stewards to ensure people's safety. That's across the board. City and us.

It's easy, put beer in a plastic container and tell them it's a dietary supplement drink due to your disability/illness, can't take it off you then due to disability discrimination laws..

Intresting to find out from the AP interview on RH that the club get commission on the beers sales. I always thought the club got nothing so I stopped buying beer in the stadium a couple of years ago.

He also said he wouldn't buy 2 pints at those prices!

The only thing both Clubs get is I think around 30% on beer sales, everything else goes to the SMC, I guess the best thing anyone can do to support our Club is buy the beer and boycott the food. There could be some interesting chants tomorrow!

I consider myself a loyal fan but asking me to pay £4.20 for a pint of crap beer is going above and beyond the call of duty. I would rather spend the money on a programme and a ticket for the half time draw.

The only people that the will benefit from the price increase are the pubs. People will just drink more in the pub before going to the game.

The SMC needs to be taken over by an independent body to stop this bias to one of the clubs but unfortunately that is not going to happen.

Price at the Emirates is £4.30, Old Trafford £3.90, Chelsea £4.20, Etihad £3.40, fans are being screwed..

And always have been everywhere. However nobody is forcing anybody to drink fizzy dogs urine in a plastic cup. The people to blame for this situation at stadiums are the mugs who keep paying these ridiculous prices. Daft as it may seem I go to a sports stadium to watch the game on the pitch. I may be wrong and the real reason to go is to pay over the odds for mediocre food and drink, stand up and squeeze past people while the game on so that refills and toilet visits can be accommodated and hopefully drink enough so that everything is forgotten anyway.

Couldn't agree more, but during the summer people need a drink and what with stadia management forcing people from having their own drinks, alcohol or otherwise, some are left with no choice but to buy what's on offer within the stadium itself.

I can manage for an hour and a half without a drink - even in our 30 degree plus summers.

While I realise some grounds are strict with not taking food and drink in, I've never had any issues at the KC. Baffles me that people pay 3 or 4 times the price for a bottle of Coke, a product that's on sale in every supermarket 24/7
