| TWO CHANGES TO PRELIMINARY SQUAD FOR WOLVES
Head coach Lee Radford has made two changes to his 19-man squad to play in the BIG Night Out against Warrington Wolves on Friday Night at the KC Stadium.
Following his impressive first team debut against Wakefield Wildcats last Sunday, Jordan Abdull has kept his place in the side, replacing Jacob Miller in Radford's squad.
Abdull is joined in the side by his youth academy colleague Callum Lancaster who has recovered from a groin injury to feature in the fixture.
The 17-year old will take the spot of Tom Lineham in the preliminary squad, who will be disappointed to miss out.
Hull FC: Abdull, Bowden, Ellis, Hadley, Heremaia, Horne, Houghton, Lancaster, Paea, Paleaaesina, Sa, Shaul, Talanoa, Thompson, Tuson, Watts, Westerman, Whiting, Yeaman

Was definitely limping for a while, could have stiffened up post game. No need to risk any aggravation when an able deputy is available.

| I think it's fair enough and fair play to Radders for making a decision like that with a so called big name player. Lancaster was superb against widnes and would surely have kept his place if not for injury.

| If Lineham has been dropped that's a stupid decision by Radford, particularly against a big powerfull Warrington team.

| What has talanoa done to stay in the team at the expense of lancaster and lineham? He's slow and his positioning is suspect. Never a winger in a million years although I'd like to see him given a go at centre. Backline of lineham, sa, talanoa and lancaster would certainly be better than what we've fielded most of this season

Correct. Certainly didn't seem right. Don't let that stop an OTT round of unfounded indignation though.

| As has been mentioned Lineham looked to have taken a knock at Wakey, so rightly stood down for this game, and as Lineham said himself he would not have got back in the team but for Lancaster getting a minor injury himself.
Not convinced that Lancaster should be thrown in week in week out just yet but definately deserves more chances based on his strike rate alone. Lineham last two games no tries, Lancaster last two games 5 tries.
Talanoa looked good in first few games but has not pushed on in my opinion, scored about 7 trys I think which is not a great return as think he has missed only 1 or 2 games all season. Came with options of Centre & F/B? so would like to see him get another year but might not figure in Radders slimmer squad plans.

Only replied to you wanting to see the binman at centre, might get pushed out when we sign our other winger.

You can't judge Talanoa, or any winger for that matter, on his try scoring record alone. Any winger is only as good as the service he receives. Talanoa has been given limited scoring opportunities but has taken them when they have come and that's all you can ask really. He is playing in a side that doesn't attack well outside a centre who has no concept of creating chances for his winger. Briscoe's record was better on that wing but that's because he's an exceptional attacking player who made lots of tries himself out if nothing.
Lancanster was fortunate to play in a couple of games against poor opposition where we were able to rack a score up. His tries were mostly walk ins. Although the thing I liked about him was how he sniffed around in the middle looking to get on the end of half breaks. Blacklock-esque.

Fair post. We produce very few chances for our wingers - even half chances. One reason for that is because we put our set plays on regardless of what has happened in the previous plays. Often we're trying to shift the ball wide without having made any impact down the middle. Result is our shifts get snuffed out long before the wingers get involved. More close support play in the forwards might help suck a few defenders in - something we are very poor at.

He's got a slightly better try scoring ratio this season than Lineham, Crooks and Yeaman.
