| I believe he is the right man for the job, he has a very good rugby brain attack/defence, he has been coached at FC & the bulls by some excellent coaches, he is british which i believe is very good for our game, plus a few of his ex team mates from the bulls are all doing well in there coaching roles, steve mac, brian mac, anderson, harris as assistant at wigan, fielden has gone into a coaching role also, what are your thoughts on him?

| Some aspects of the pre season have been a bit bewildering and I can't understand the lack of chances for Miller. On the other hand we looked decent in spells against Rovers. I will let you know in a couple of months.

| I'm really hoping he can be successful but I keep asking myself would the Australians think he is good enough to have him as an assistant coach for the national team? Time will tell

| I think we should all give him a chance and then judge him on performances, too many people are too quick to judge on here so lets just wait and see.I believe a lot of our signings have come here with a point to prove and hopefully they won't let the coaches or us the fans down.

| The jury is out so far as I am concerned. I will admit I didn't want him to get the job in the first place and wanted a more experienced coach. The fact that he is local or English counts for nothing with me.
I have not seen much evidence of the attacking, entertaining rugby we were promised. Against Bradford and Featherstone we seemed to have no structure and no game plan.
His team selection at Featherstone was puzzling.
I can't understand what he has against Jacob Miller but obviously doesn't rate him.
I haven't been impressed by the last minute panic recruitment drive either.
What concerned me most however was the way he publicly criticised the players after Bradford and Featherstone.
However I'll get behind him and the team and give him the chance to prove he's up to the job.

| Think he could have the potential to be a very good coach , but needs the right tools to do the job . And I don't think he has at the minute with the squad he's inherited , so will take time to do things how he wants to .

| If we have 4 points by end of round four, I will be happy, 6 points I will very happy, 8 points he's the new messiah, less than 4 points and he's a very naughty boy.
Seriously has to be given this season, and judged in 2015, sad to say that as long as we make the eight this season I'll be relatively happy, anything higher is a bonus, a good cup run would be nice. I believe he will do ok, but I thought the same about Moyes at Man Utd

When he was appointed I thought it was a terrible decision, and he has said and done nothing to warrant me changing my opinion. He wont have the luxury of being able to have a slow start either, not with relegation looming and with a large number of home fixtures (8 of the first 12 at home). A lot of pressure on a rookie with no experience.

| way too early to be asking this question, when we haven't played a competitive game under him yet. lets see how we go after playing a good chunk of the season. this should tell us things like his tactical acumen, how we cope with injuries, team selection, reaction to a bit of pressure/adversity etc etc. all these things may well surface in the first half of the season (hope the injuries don't). then we will be in a better position to pass judgement

| I'l pass judgement in a couple of seasons.
I could just say the obvious, that he'll fail because nearly every coach does.

| You want people to pass an opinion on the coach before we've even kicked a ball in anger? Why on earth would anyone want to do that?

Well people have a lot to say on players before a whistles been blown..I was meaning do they think he is the man for the job? With his playing career & the coaches he has learnt from? What made me post this was a coment or 2 on the bradford board even though it was a dobbin that was slating him. I just wondered what peoples views was on him?

| Someone has said the jury is out. If we use that analogy then the jury is only just being selected.
I come from the Gentle out , but oh no not Radford, brigade.
But he is the chosen one and he will get my support as I am Hull FC through and through and will always support initially at least the coach of my great club.
All we have had so far is 4 pre season games, which sadly he has stated only one was important and we won that. This smacks to me of the small mindedness we have accused Rovers of having over the Hudge era. Its not something I wish us to get into.
The other three games based on this were incidental. I may have read this wrong, but its how I read it.
Other than that off the field we have had almost a full squad in training since November 1st which apparently is a good thing. I would like to believe that if we didn't have an apparent rush to alter the squad with just 7 days to go to the big KO.
Maybe he has seen all he wants to see of some players since November and is not convinced that they will change. May I suggest that this may be a small failing in his management skills? (devils advocate)
But generally I believe AP selected him certainly over one other candidate because he felt that he could bring some discipline to the team / club. Discipline can be given out in many different ways and a good manager will know when a boll0x1ng should be given and when an arm round the shoulders is the appropriate form of discipline. Its a skill that is often sadly lacking in all professions. But when it is done well it works wonders. My gut feeling is that Radford does not have this skill. (its a gut feeling and I hope its wrong).
So whilst we have a small amount of evidence to answer the OPs question I do not feel the jury is out as we have not got enough evidence to prove either way beyond all reasonable doubt.
There will be some who will want top 4 and a good cup run or it will be failure. There will be others who will support him and the club whatever and will question peoples loyalty if they raise descenting questions about Radford.
Those of us in the middle want consistancy and commitment even from a less skilled squad. I believe if we get consistancy and 100% commitment to the cause, league position and cup runs will take care of themselves. More of the same that we have been served up since Peter Sharp's squad of 2006 and I suspect Mr Radfords association with Hull FC will come rapidly to an abrupt halt.
The next three weeks are going to be very interesting and may well if things go wrong put immense pressure on Radford and the team from the off.

| Not actually read many positives or great attributes he has, though I have read on here and heard off friends he was pretty poor as captain. Now he has the chance to lead the team in another role.
