To be this years Lineham/Crooks?

Sick of all the negativity, even before the seasons started! (A new record for us)

I'm going for Bobby Tyson-Wilson. Big things expected of this kid, and I think he'll get an opportunity early doors now Watts & Green are out.

Im hoping Talanoa has a good year & Tuson, think the dryer pitches will really suit our forwards.

Rankin, been impressed with him so far.

All of the question mark players have showed up well so far, Feka, Rankin and Tallanoa.

I don't think there's many that don't have a question mark against them in some respect. Can only think of a small few that did themselves justice last year.
Was just wondering who people thought would be this years breakthrough player ala Lineham/Crooks. Really think BTW will be the one, only 19? But already 6'3" and 15 stone plus, got great hands for a forward too.

Would go with that, hopefully Cunningham will step on at Donny and replace Azza in the medium term. I like Tom Stark's attitude, and he's had a lot of game time in the friendlies (maybe because of absence of other options), but his lack of size is a worry. I'd like to see more of Jansin Turgut, seems highly-rated.

At my age I can't concentrate on anything for more than 20 minutes unless it features Chris Hemsworth.

I don't think we'll have another Crooks/Lineham but I'd agree with you on Tyson-Wilson to be this years rookie.

Agreed. I also think Mrs B's shout of Stark, could be a good call. Looks to have a good attitude. I am sure that some of the senior players can nip that in the bud

As Sheldon said I dont think anyone will make the impact of Lineham or Crooks, who are a bit older than the players we have.

I really think it will be a big year for Bowden, also Green, depending on how his injury is.

Make or break year for Kent and Hadley.

BTW might get a few more games than expected also.

Nothing would please me more than to see Richard Horne stay injury free, and have a good season. But, the pick for me this year will be Chris Tuson. It would be great if he could instil some Wigan never say die attitude.

I'm hoping Chris Tuson can get fit and shake up the back row along with a fitter Gaz Ellis. Not breakthrough players but it's an area I think we need a fresh injection as a team. In terms of breakthrough I'd like to see Shaul kick on and hope that Bobby Tyson-Wilson can be given some game time without it requiring him being flogged in a position that is tough for youngsters to play well consistently.

I think Talanoa & Rankin could both turn out to be smart signings be interesting to see how they go.

Home grown I think this could be a big year for Shaul who with a strong start could keep McDonnel out even when fit, and think we will see BTW thown into the mix so could be his big chance.

For me, I think Rankin, Talanoa and Feka will all turn out to be great signings, risky ones yes, but think they will work out.

Despite all the negativity going around at the moment, I'm optimistic about the season ahead and seasons beyond
