Thought the team did okay, plenty of dropped ball from both teams. One out rugby once again, but I just hope that was due to the condition.
Hicks kept a skinny ten I thought and let players stand in front of him and let them get away with it. Some of his calls were baffling giving them back to one claiming that Horne had touched the ball. Also called play on a couple of times when the tackle was complete.

As for the players the stand out for me were definitely Rankin, who defended brilliantly had a great step and very good kicking game. Seems like he was on another level compared to his team mates. Talanoa went well given the short game time he was given. Lineham looked lively, but ran across the pitch too much and not straight enough. Stark did well on the wing very solid for a little kid! Ellis was solid too.

As for Westerman, he was awful. Did nothing in attack and defence! The less said the better, I counted roughly six big hits he went in for and didn't make the tackle once, not even putting the opposition on the floor. Absolutely awful. Watts did okay but needs to run with more aggression.

I never understand the criticism of Westy tbh. Not our best today but far from awful.

If im honest not as impressed with the first half as much as i was with the second, talanoa was much better in the second, really pleased young tom stark didnt give into the rovers forwards, rankin looks like he will be a very good signing this season, but all in all, pleased with today, but can i just say, to the rovers fans who read this because we know they will, stop cheering as much when you score in a pre season game against us, both of your tries were against, mostly our reserve team, idiots!

He was awful IMO. I don;t understand how people always want to defend him, and then slag players off prior to them even playing a game for us.

Westerman needs to man up this season IMO

I'm a fan of his, but today he was bad! I hope Radders collars him about his defence!

Westie's ball retention wasn't great but I like that they are trying to use him has a play maker through the middle not just as a battering ram.

He put a couple of passes down, but that's all I remember him doing wrong. Yes he put his shoulder on and didn't complete the tackle a few times but I don't have a problem with that, at least he is putting himself about.

He didn't play particularly well but I wouldn't single him out for criticism.

He made gaps due to running out and not completing the tackle. I wouldn't mind as much if it was just a poor tackle attempt, but to miss six or seven big hits is laughable.

Don't forget westy is in a new role to what he was under Gentle. I'll let him get used to playing there in a 'real match' environment before I pass judgement. Didn't think he was awful today considering it's pre season.

Hilarious. Most of our starting team were in the West stand in their tracksuits for all the 2nd half. It was funny to watch your boys celebrate like they'd just won at Old Trafford when the dustbin man scored.

if you want to compare scores when both teams played their strongest line up, it was still 4-0 to fc!

a lot of our first team went off after 30/35 minutes and didnt come back, but its only a friendly so don't worry about it

Like ours in the first half you have been beat by ty FC ( as you lot call us) take it on the chin's.

i found it quite amusing our players were taking the p!55 out of your players after last season friendly how your players did exactly the same!

win or lose it doesn't really bother me to be honest, it's only a friendly, both teams had good run outs with hopefully no injuries, brings us another week closer to the real games

You never do cheer like us or get behind the team,thats why unless your playing us,the KC is like a morgue.Its called supporting your team.Ever thought of trying it.
