Hopefully the campaign to get the "Man of Steel" award renamed in Steve`s honor will stir things at the RFL

This shouldn't even need thinking about by the RFL it should be a given and in all honesty if they don't it would be a very poor decision.

No - that bridge and the environs are a complete eyesore. It would be an insult to name it after Steve.

I've mentioned this before, and I know it will go against popular opinion, but I don't think the MoS should be named after Steve. It's not really the kind of accolade you'd associate with him. He was never the best of the best, not even close to a nomination really. I agree he should be immortalised in one way or another, but it has to be fitting and a don't believe this is.

I think they should create a new award for community/charity work which is mainly what he got his MBE for.
I also think there should be a Steve Prescott Trophy for the winner of the game between Hull and Saints every year. That game would certainly be spiced up.

But not Man of Steel.

Let's not forget Steve was also a wakey player and they also should be involved , as I put on the saints board I think we should play a mini set of games in pre season with all three of us . with money's going to Steve Prescotts charity or something along them lines

I know St Helens have done this, but a fitting tribute to Steve from a Hull point of view would be to name this New foot bridge over the A63 after him.
