I've just read ap's interview in the game on section in the hdm and was wondering about the academy league set up , it says the rfl will be only going with 8 teams from 2014 . He says that only 1 team will come from hull so were will that leave our neighbours ? Will saints and Wigan have 1 each in the league ? (daft question that one) . We're does it leave the teams who don't make the cut ? Is it a case of the rich get richer so to speak ? Can't post a link I'm afraid

couldn't give a rats @55 about rovers academy, they were paying more than they could afford a few years ago when they came up to make sure they got the pick of the crop, Pearson will make sure we go it alone, he has invested too much of his own money for someone like hudge to come in ant take the mick!

overall, 8 teams! seems that its either more short sightedness by the rfl or some clubs wont or cant finance the teams

As I understand it there will be just one academy for Hull and there are other Club based teams and some regional acedemy teams like Cumbria.

Each academy will produce players for the teams in their area just how that works I aint sure but I do know that we will be running the Acedemy for Hull at Bishop Burton and to a lesser extent at Sirius and St Mary's. The RL give a grant to each academy of I think I read around £200,000 and I don't think therefore that Rovers will actually be running one at all and will draw their youngsters to give full time contracts to from the cademy we are running. AS I said how that will work heaven knows. Hope that helps its just stuff cobbled together from bits I have read and stuff that Adam has said It is all tighed into the bigger changes being made for 2015.
