| I love Hull Fc.... I love rugby and I love the fans of our great club, but seriously some of you need to get a grip!
I've seen comments and posts saying that it was an embarrassment to scrape a win last night. Here are my reasons why the win last night was something special;
- It came off the back of an extremely disappointing Wembley performance, the hangover didn't seem to affect the young lads... a sure sign of mental toughness, needed at the highest level.
- We were playing the victors in out disappointing Wembley appearance that could have got to the players..... it appears it didn't.
- The game was played at the DW with possibly 12,000 celebrating Wigan fans, that would be enough to set anyone's emotions into turmoil.
-We had a team out with an average age of 22..... Wigan have a youth system that is the envy of Superleague. To beat there youngsters will still take some doing....
-We were down right to the very end and found a way to win! This shows character and the will to win!
These are just some of the reasons, Do you agree or disagree?

| I agree that it wasn't as bad a performance as some are making out. But then I didn't think it was going to be as easy as some made out.

| Exactly, it was an away game against some very good youngsters with many psychological extraneous factors.

| Agree to a point in that we had a lot of tired players whilst Wigan's youngsters were fresh and enthusiastic but the big worry is that the players that came in last night do not look good enough or likely to improve whilst some others will/are clearly already past their best. The players that we know to be coming in do not in my view match those going out so even with some improvement from our younger players it's difficult to see much change next year.
Watching from the end last night , unusually for me , it was alarmingly clear how completely disorganised we are and this in the penultimate game of the season. Yes the changes have an affect but look at the way Wigan played , exactly the same as their senior players. At Wigan it seems that the players play to the game plan they are given whoever they are. Either ours don't , we just don't have one or the coach isn't able to communicate it.
It's not effort or commitment that I would question as the end of the game last night proved but we lack skill , class , organisation , brains and lots more.

| I agree, we have some great youngsters coming through ourselves. I think a lot of negativity comes from some poor displays this season, we totally bullied Wire at their ground, we ran a full strength Wigan side close at the KC with quite a few first trampers out, to then back it up with three shoddy performances against Bradford, Cas, and Wakey. We have a great squad of players and to be fair could still go all the way, cause on our day we know we can beat anyone, yet all season we have lacked any consistency, which for me is a real shame. Anyway, black and white, through thick and thin, in any kind of weather, I will always love my team and support them if they are the best in super league or bottom of the championship.

| Some people are never happy, but I think we are still suffering from post Wembley blues. It's two points in the bag and gave our youngsters chance for a run out too, can't ask for much more.

Why dont you look at it the way most clubs would do and think how fortunate you have been that mr wane decided to play his reserves instead of his 1st team. Prior to the announcement of wigans team selection you were recieving 16pts start on the handicap and after hull were giving wigan 6pts start,I think that says it all.
Iam sure every club in s/l would be highly delighted to play a reserve team, especially when it gives you a great chance of 5th place when with a loss you would be struggling to make the 6. Enjoy while things are going your way and think yourself lucky you just won a game you probably would have lost.

| LOL at the Rovers fans. They've just realised that there's a good chance we'll finish above them this year, which will mean that their season is a failure regardless of what else they may achieve.

You've only been a member on here for a year with 28 posts.....you have a lot more reading of e posted on here.
Especially from the like of Seb and Standee who between them have knowledge of RL they could write on a back of a postage stamp.
Give up reading, especially responding to these members who are obviously either RED & WHITE es or are just really thick.

| There are plenty of reasons for us failing to perform again last night and in isolation could be excused, however it isn't isolated, it's the good performances that are the exception rather than the norm. To the guy who has just noticed that we are disorganised, welcome on board. To those who say we are capable of beating the best teams, well so is everyone else. Plenty of shock results this season across the board, but the fact we've taken 5 points from a possible 18 against the sides currently above us in the table tells it's own tale. Add in the 9 points dropped against sides currently in the bottom 6 and I think that overall it says we're not good enough as things stand

| Even though we had had a few injuries this year and some below par performances, win next week and we take 5th spot and have a final appearance this year! I certainly wasn't expecting miracles this season, but we can certainly see where we need to strengthen to improve further! This year has hardly been a disaster!

Eh? I thought we'd beaten Wigan, Warrington, Leeds and drawn with Saints. If we were to win on Friday that would be 9 from 20, which would be OK had it not been for what in my view were the more serious results at Cas, Widnes, Bradford and at home to Wakefield.
The disruption at HB has again proved costly. Seymour's issues, Holdsworth's prolonged head injury, Horne starting so well then being side-lined, bringing a 20 year old in from Oz and overdoing expectations. I think we've had 8 HB combinations this year so far. It's little surprise we've not asked many questions with ball in hand. What is more worrying is our lack of structure and support play. What Wigan's team demonstrated on Friday was consistency of well-understood systems, players slotting in more easily. By contrast we still look like strangers, even though Miller and Holdsworth have had a few games. We just don't look like we're executing a defined and drilled plan, more relying on Lineham, Crooks, Briscoe and now Shaul to produce something special individually.

My bad, yes 7 points which may go to 9 but then you'd have to knock off 3 and 4 respectively as we'd be above them
You've then raised a potential answer only to stamp on it. There seems to be no plan or any form of pre planned execution of anything. Is gentle just relying on benjiesque individual brilliance? If he is then he'd better sell holdsworth, miller and horne and try and snatch rangi from under the nose of the good doctor

The answer regardless of personnel has to be a better-drilled attack, better support play and crisper passing. I though Chase couldn't get a visa?
