Home tie v Catalan would do for me.

Not sure about the win v Saints. We can do it, of course, but they've been improving lately (with the exception of the loss to Rovers)

I would agree with you, don't think Wigan will put a very strong side out next week now that 1st has effectively gone.

Saints could easily lose all 3 though. Wakey away isn't an easy game.

Think we will win this - Last game of the regular season AP will want the passholders to be going away with a feel good factor, and renewing their season passes before we tumble out the playoffs!! (assume SP's will be on sale by 1st Sept?)

Saints are in a slightly false position for my money. Got Wigan at home at the best time then the tough away game at Catalans, when they were in freefall. Couldnt have played those 2 sides at a better time, fair play to getting the job done though. We can beat these at home comfortably and nick 5th if they slip up from here. Their big game is Wakey away.

If we can't beat Saints at home we won't make much of an impact on the play-offs.

Not sure about a Saints win after Wembley. Win or lose I think it will be difficult to pick it up again for the final 2 league games. I would like Catalan to take some serious humpings (and they are playing teams that can do it) and Rovers to pick up decent wins against Widnes and London. Then take them down in the play-offs at Caravan Park again

Rovers might find it hard going against Widnes after they won their "Cup Final" tonight. Great performance by them with 12 men.

Looking a bit tougher to finish above Rovers now after their amazing result with 1,274 players out injured.

I'd expect Rovers to finish above us now.

I'd agree with that prediction now. Great if we can finish in the top six and get a home tie, but I can't see us getting anything at Wigan after Wembley, but can see us performing v Saints at home.

If they finish 5th, Rovers might win it. No doubt with their huge injury problems they have to play Stanley Gene, Roger Millward and Phil Lowe in the Final. They would have also called up Georgie Girl, but he's still trying to catch Ronnie Wileman's shadow from the 1982 John Player Final!!

So if that holds, except we lose to saints...same result (saints away) but as 5th v 8th rather than 6th v 7th?

Hadn't realised Rovers getting the coveted 5th place would mean they are odds on for a GF win! Wowzers better get a bet on!

Out of those possible fixtures, I'm not particularly bothered whom we play as long as it isn't Catalans away.

Playing Catalans away takes a lot out of the team due to the extra heat and a day's preparation being lost due to travel.

If we turn up and play to the standard that we know we're capable of then we're capable of beating Catalans, Saints, or KR whether it's home or away so not particularly bothered more than what I stated earlier.

If rovers were to slip up at Widnes (and it is a potential banana skin), it would possibly drop them from 5th to 8th, assuming we were to beat Saints.

I also have a feeling that Catalans may win one of their two games, which would also alter the picture.

There are some real permutations to be had from such a small number of games. Can still see us playing Wigan twice followed by back to back games against Saints.

Regardless of permutations unlikely that we will finish 6th which is a backward step from last season, and we cannot match our points tally of 2012 which was 32 points, but hey if we win the CC who gives a flying one..........

I can see us in eighth followed by an away trip to Saints, but as you say, if the team are doing a lap of honour with a shiny silver pot in their hands, I'd be amazed if any b&w was complaining.

give us anyone I honestly think we are a beter team than saints, kr or cats regardless of league positions , would like to avoid cats for one reason and thats because I wouldnt be able to watch the game live

long as we take our cup knock out form into the play offs we shouldn't fear anyone!
