I'm just re-watching the Leeds game and Johnsons Defence is brilliant. Tackles hard and makes a lot of tackles. He was the same against Wakefield.

Have not rated him much this year and questioned the signing when it was announced.

If he can work on his attack and maybe add some size and grunt going forward then ill well and truly eat my words.

Take note Mr Gentle, maybe time to let him start stringing some games together and stop dropping him?!

Been impressed everytime I've seen him play this season. He's been an unsung hero for me. Like you say, his defence is brilliant and his work rate is outstanding. Did not deserve to lose his place IMO.

At which point his defence will suffer as the more he bulks up the less mobile he will become. Can't have everything.

Maybe if he puts on two stone, which he obviously won't.

A lean bulk of 10-15 lbs in the off season would do the trick.

I may be wrong but am sure, Johnson, Pitts , and Bowden all played in the victories over Wire and Leeds, yet have subsequently been dropped since those games. Not sure why considering we have lost the last four.

According to website all three played against Wire. Only Johnson and Pitts played against Leeds.

Been saying for while his defence is the best technically for a prop in the whole league. Attack he's not really bad either. Eats the yards fast sways to one side just before impact n finds his front mostly.
That said agreed with him not been in this n last week. 2biggest sides. Needed bit more hence green was included.

Johnson i feel has replaced Aspinwall. He's a little bigger and a little less clumsy but always gives his all.

Do miss Aspinwall though.
