Holdsworth won't play. It will be a big win for your lot. We seem to have put all our eggs in one basket with the cup

I'd be amazed if we rest anyone, Holdsworth and Horne will be missing regardless. Our season is quickly turning to rat poop and the Catalan game is much more important than any other in the short term.

IMO, we won't be able to match Hudd's pack up front and we'll have no answer for Danny Brough. In short, you will be able to focus on your big CC game and still beat us comfortably.

Oddly enough I expect us to perform well. We usually do against decent opposition, not saying we'll win but I can see a significant improvement in our performance. I think Horne will play, if they are taking the CC seriously he needs a run out before that game.

Cant see anything but a Giants win.Looks like CC or bust for us plus the fact Huddersfield have had 72 hours more recovery time

I would certainly expect a good side like Hudds to get our lot up for the game in terms of effort. Sadly, I just think that our front row imparticular is too small and too passive and effort will not be enough.

As much as i can see us typically deciding to put in a good showing against a top team still think we'll come up short on this occasion, hoping to see something that makes me feel more confident about the cup game the following week,

If we can shut Brough down with fast line speed we can beat you at home - not saying we will as it's easier said than done. You have a good side and deserve your league position but we should have beaten Wigan at home, have beaten Leeds at home, and beaten Wire away so Huddersfield at home shouldn't be anything that a functioning Hull side should worry about. If we're dysfunctional then easy win for you.

Far too difficult to call. I can see one of three scenarios:

1) We turn up and play like we did against Wire to claim a narrow victory.

2) We turn up and play like we did against Wire, but lose narrowly to an in-form Huddersfield side.

3) We play like we have in the last three games and get absolutely =#FF0000battered.

If I had to guess, I'd say the second is most likely, but I wouldn't be surprised with any of those outcomes.

This would have been tough regardless of id we'd still been in the form of 4 weeks ago, but I think we would have won it.

Forecast for match at present is sunny and circa 24c so if we can stay close even if it's a defeat then it could be good preparation for the cup game. Just hope the boys can some how sneak a win, but difficult to have any optimism at the moment.

Expecting us to raise our game, we like to/can be bothered to against better sides. Still don't know if it will be enough. Play to our potential, we can win.

It's never a given against Hull who are better than their results show but with a week away from the cup game I expect the Giants effort and intensity to lift for this one...I hope...

My Misses says I'm the eternal pessimist, however when it comes to the FC I always think we can win. IMO our pack is too small and too many of the forwards ain't doing a shift, with the acception of OMeely who has been our best forward by a country mile. Who will the halves be? Miller and Heramia look the likely candidates but with Gentle you never know.

Our only hope in this game is if Hornes back and if he is id go with Horne/Heremaia. Backs the same but forwards need changing. Drop Watts and Westerman completely and bring in Pitts and Whiting. Id actually drop Lynch for Bowden too but Gentle hasnt got the balls so expect to see the same team with someone like Johnson getting dropped even though he was far better than Lynch on monday

Yep hes only playing as no Horne and whilst hes been ok in attack he cant tackle for love nor money

And I disagree about his tackling.

Go watch the last two games and youll see numerous missed tackles from Miller. You cant carry someone just because they MIGHT be able to create something. Miller may be a good player in the future but hammering him in a losing side is not gonna help his developement at FC is it though lots seem to of forgotten that

He missed tackles, yes, but also made some decent ones. Ben Crooks has made the most missed tackles in the side, should we drop him? And the statement about carrying someone because the MIGHT create something is ridiculous, he's our half back, that's his job. He has created tries in his for us with kicks, passes and breaking the line. Dropping him would do the opposite of positive development, not only to his game awareness with the team but also to his confidence.
