With Miller on his way to compliment Holdsworth, all of our young players showing mind-blowing potential, a coach with tactical prowess who alongside the chairman, they both understand the structures and nuances that are vital within a club in building a challenging squad - this must be the most promising era I've ever witnessed in supporting Hull FC my whole life.

Here's hoping we can see an increase in attendances that will reflect the good-old days of 2004/05/06, and a return for Pearson's investment in the club. To give him good incentive in keeping him here and the momentum we're gaining for many more years to come.

Nice try but we actually played better after Watkins and McGuire went off. But only because Hull tired a little and their intensity maybe dropped a notch; they were actually very, very good throughout. And those few mistakes that prevented them scoring more points were of the kind that are very easy to rectify.

The other good thing is that of the 3 return fixtures played in the 2nd half of the season, we've done with Leeds and Wire already.

So losing Chris Green and Mark Omeley during the game and Tom Briscoe playing the full game injured didn't affect us then

Most positive i've been about the team since 2006, I am turning up for games knowing that even if we don't win, we'll at least run teams close and it'll be entertaining (see the Wigan defeat as an example)

sitting through Wakefield's dire 1-man rugby show at the Magic Weekend was a reminder of just how far we've come under Gentle.

Sadly I looked at our remaining fixtures today and started to get a tad excited. Its time for a cold shower and some electronic torture to dampen my mood.

I am heading off to Catalans this week feeling very good about my team. Even with a few injuries I feel we have the depth to cover them and not be terribly effected by them. Given how I felt on Good Friday its nothing short of a minor miracle.

I hope it lasts, but history and experience tells me it won't. So much so I have booked to go away the weekend of the GF and no its not to Manchester. I will willingly cancel that though.

In all honesty and truthfulness I look at our back line and feel its the strongest its been since the 80s. The potential is massive with a few more youngsters knocking on the door as well. Exciting times potentially ahead.

What I loved on friday was that when we scored, the sky commentary couldn't be heard over the cheering of the fans! loved the atmosphere!

I honestly don't think it would have an adverse reaction if we were to lose. Gentle said they'd identified this four game block as season defining, and to be going in to the Catalan game 3 from 3 can only be seen as excellent. If the result doesn't go our way I'm more confident than I've been in a long time that we would be able to correct it straight away.

I can honestly see us going through the rest of the season only losing 1 or 2 games. Even a worst case I've got it at 3 which would see us going 15 from the last 19 games and see us finish on 34 points, which may just be good enough for fourth.
