Hull FC coach Peter Gentle has made two changes to his 19-man squad for Saturday’s play-off clash with Warrington Wolves, with Danny Tickle and Sam Moa both missing out on selection.

The duo had hoped to provide a welcome boost for the Black and Whites by returning ahead of schedule from identical bicep injuries but have now been ruled out of contention for the trip to the Halliwell Jones Stadium, with Moa unlikely to feature again for Hull before moving to Sydney Roosters in 2013.

Tickle meanwhile made his return in the home victory over Castleford Tigers a fortnight ago, but a set-back in training means he will miss the semi-final eliminator on Saturday.

It could see Gentle name an unchanged side from the team that beat Huddersfield Giants 46-10 on Sunday evening to book a clash with the reigning Challenge Cup holders, although winger Will Sharp and young prop Josh Bowden will be pushing for places after being named in the 19 for the trip across the Pennines.

I'd go with same as Sunday except I'd have Sharpe in the bench instead of Crooks... Crooks is too small and inexperienced for such s big game.

The only thing that I think could change from the team that beat Huddersfield would be our options on the bench. Last week we had Crooks on the bench, but I don't think that he's suitable to be interchanging into the back row. The options would be either Turner as an interchange backrower and Crooks as centre, or switch Crooks for Bowden (which would give us 2 Props, 1 Second Row, and 1 Utility forward on the bench).

No Westwood or Carvell in their squad! I'm feeling more and more optimistic all the time! It will be the same 17 for us for sure. They have class all over the park but if we get in their faces there is no doubt we also have the class to roll them over. 'Come on u ull'

The loss of Westwood & Carvell is a massive boost for us, however I am under no illusion that this will not be an easy game far from it and I still consider it a big ask to go there and turn them over, not impossible though but far from easy.

First 20 is massive. If we're still in the game at that point we'll win imo.

Whilst they don't have Westwood and Carvell, and Hodgson is a doubt, we are missing Moa, Tickle and Whiting to it evens out.

I'd go with the same 17 as in the Huddersfield game.

This game can turn a successful season of transition into a great season. As has been said - a strong start is a must.

Might be a controversial call, but I'd select Bowden on the bench instead of Crooks. I feel we will need the extra forward power/rotation.

saints played the perfect game against wire last week and we need to replicate it. Defend like we did for 78 minutes of the hudds game and we have a chance but we need to improve our attack as wire are significantly better in defence than hudds were last week

First 20 will dictate everything.

I very much doubt it, we've dominated games for 60/70 minutes over the years and lost in the last period. I think we'll go well in a close game, depends on brain farts from the officials.

These are the games where the experience of Omeley, horne , manu, yeaman etc comes into play isnt it, PG needs to be playing this as if its the cup final itself and leave nothing in the locker

I think what Paul meant was that to have a chance we need to start well and hold them in the first 20 minutes. If they get away from us early doors there will be no way back.

Missing my point. Wire are fragile right now after last week and the previous PO hoome defeat to Leeds. If we start well the crowd will get restless and the players will become edgy and start forcing passess and making mistakes. That's our big chance.

If we let them start well and they score a couple of early tries they could relax and blow us away.

Hit em hard, hit em early. Get in their faces and don't give them a second. For starters thats Briers guaranteed to vanish!
